Hotel quarantine changes
Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has confirmed that there will be an exemption to hotel quarantine for elite and professional athletes.
When asked by RTÉ’s Prime Time if other exemptions would be introduced after confirmation of the status for fully vaccinated individuals arriving from designated states, Minister Donnelly said there would be.
While parents travelling for surrogacy will also be exempt.
He said: “Yeah we will. Another exemption that came in tonight for sports for elite and professional athletes.
“Now there is a very important part of this which is their governing bodies can put in place equivalent situations.”
