A Laois GAA club has been the victim of a disgusting act of vandalism.
Members of Ballyroan-Abbey, which is situated in the village of Ballyroan, discovered the attack yesterday afternoon.
Windows were smashed at the back of the clubhouse and damage was done inside.
While the club’s portacabin was also damaged in the unprovoked attack.
Ballyroan-Abbey released details of the attack on their Facebook page and said that the matter had been passed onto the Gardai.
They said: “It’s not very often we have a problem up at the pitches, however we arrived up this afternoon to find this disgraceful vandalism.
“It’s absolutely pointless and costs money we could spend elsewhere.
“We will be reporting it to the Guards.
“If anyone knows anything please let Michael Scully or Pat Whelan know. Thanks.”
