Nora Copeland (neé Kirwan), Drim, Mountrath, Co. Laois. Died 25th August 2020, at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by her loving husband Ronnie, sisters Dolie and Sheila. Survived by her son James and daughter Ann (Heffernan), daughter-in-law Sue, son-in-law Mick, grandson Paul, granddaughter Elaine, sisters Noelle (Geoghegan), Betty (Dowling) and Anne (Murphy), brothers Sean (Kirwan), brothers-in-law Timmy (Murphy) and Brian (Copeland), nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal on Thursday morning from Burke’s Funeral Home, Mountrath, to St. Edmund’s Church, Castletown for a family Funeral Mass at 11.0’clock, followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath.
Those who would like to attend are welcome to stand along the route, or in the vicinity of the church or cemetery so long as social distancing is observed at all times.

Denis (Dinny) Maher, Rapla, Rathdowney, Co. Laois. August 22nd 2020. Following a brief illness. Predeceased by his wife Ann. Sadly mourned by his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, neighbours, relatives and friends.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions a private funeral will take place in St. Tighearnach’s Church, Cullohill on Wednesday at 11am followed by burial in Aughmacart. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral but are unable to do so due to the current restrictions can express their condolences on the condolence page below. Peacefully at home, in her 102nd year. Dearly loved wife of the late William and devoted mother of Richard, Hazel, David and Audrey. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law Shirley and Yvonne, son-in-law Mervyn, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Peacefully in her sleep at her daughter’s residence. Dearly loved mother of Liam, David, Christy, Christine, Patrick, Joseph and the late Thomas and grandmother of the late David. Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughter, sister Philomena, brother David, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren Angeline, William, Michaela, Christiana, Kellie, Graham, Kieran, Danielle, Patrick, Chris, Thomas, Leah, Sinead, Brendan, Audrey, Sean, Adam, Lauren and Scott, great grandchildren, sister-in-law Mary, brother-in-law Paddy, extended family, relatives and friends.
