A fire at an abandoned house in Portlaoise is the talk of the town this afternoon and more video footage of the incident has been sent to us at LaoisToday.
The fire occurred earlier this afternoon in the Esker Hills housing estate in the town and engulfed the property – but it is believed that the house hasn’t been lived in in recent times and was empty.
There are no reports of injuries but the house is destroyed following the blaze.
The fire was attended to by the Portlaoise and Stradbally units of Laois County Fire and Rescue and by local gardai.
