In November of this year Mary O’Neill got word she would be appearing on Winning Streak.
So she sent along her daughter and the pair won big!
A Laois woman has won €30,000 on tonight’s Winning Streak.
Mary O’Neill from St Brigid’s Square in Portarlington was represented by her daughter Sandra Walsh who lives in Rathangan on Kildare.
Mary was in the audience but it was Sandra who took part in the popular game show presented by Marty Whelan and Sinead Kennedy.
Two of Sandra’s sons were in attendance but her “camera shy” husband stayed at home.
She won €18,000 in the first part of the show before then taking a €12,000 share to bring her overall winnings to €30,000.
She then came excruciatingly close to spinning the wheel but with two wheel icons revealed, she turned up an ‘X’ and missed out.
Sandra joked that her mother would like to buy a new stove with her winnings.
The spin the wheel contestant Niall from Monaghan won €50,000 bringing the overall winnings to €189,000
