The vibrant community of Shanahoe put on quite the show last Sunday as their delayed ‘Taste of Shanahoe’ event proved to be well worth waiting for.
This was originally meant to be held back in July but the success of the Laois hurlers saw it clash with the All Ireland quarter-final against Tipperary.
The organising committee duly opted to postpone the event but it was back on schedule for last Sunday and proved to be a very pleasant event for all concerned.
Hosted in the local Shanahoe community hall it showcased the best the area has to offer.
And it had a little bit of everything.
From commercial ventures to community groups, sporting organistions to cultural clubs there was something for all ages and interests.
Our photographers Julie Anne Miller went along to the well-attended event.
