Laois property sells for almost €700,000 – the second-highest price of 2025 so far

A Laois property has sold for just shy of €700,000, making it the second-most expensive property sold in the county so far in 2025.

The property in Coolbanagher, Emo, fetched €695,000, which is the same price-tag as the second-most expensive property sold for in all of 2024.

The number of houses selling for over half a million euro has increased exponentially in recent years as housing-prices across the country continue to sky-rocket.

The property includes five bedrooms and four bathrooms, all standing on approximately one acre of land.

Accessed through electric gates, a gravel drive leads up to the residence which is surrounded by landscaped gardens, trees, hedges, shrubs, flower beds, pergola, two paved patio areas and an electric car charger.

An entrance hall with a wooden floor, fireplace and coving leads to a drawing room with wooden floor, wall lights, built-in presses and shelving units, a marble fireplace and double doors.

This leads to the kitchen/dining room, which comes with porcelain tiled floor, recessed lights, wall lights, solid fuel stove, breakfast bar, an integrated dishwasher, a double oven, and French doors that lead on to the rear garden.

The property also includes a living room with built-in display cabinets, a tiled utility room, and office with a laminate floor.

The main bathroom comes with a heated towel rail, laminate floor, tiled walls, a walk-in shower and is supplemented by a second family bathroom which includes built-in wardrobes and a built-in dressing table.

The bedrooms include built-in wardrobes, while two come with accompanying en-suite bathrooms.
