Borris Road, Portlaoise, Laois/Virginia, Cavan

John Keating the Grange, Borris Road, Portlaoise and formerly of Killinkere, Virgina Co Cavan. Died April 17th 2025. Peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Droimnin Nursing Home, Stradbally. Predeceased by his parents, brothers PJ, Jim and Brian, sisters Mary Ann, Rosetta and Betty. Deeply regretted by his nephew James and niece Anne-Marie, his siblings Gerry, Patricia, Nuala and Carmel, brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Monday Morning April 21st from 10am. Removal at 10:45 to SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 11am Requiem Mass. A private cremation will take place at a later date.

Mary Therese Shaw
Bellingham, Portlaoise, Laois

Mary Therese Shaw. Cilleithne Gardens , Bellingham. Portlaoise. 17th April 2025 . Peacefully at Portlaoise Regional Hospital. Reunited with her husband Jimmy and mother Dillis. Dearly loved mother to Christine and Cherished grandmother to Michael and Ruth. Deeply regretted by all her loving family and friend’s. Reposing at Keegans Funeral home on Sunday evening from 4 pm until 6pm. Requiem mass till take place at 1 pm on Monday in SS Peter and Pauls Church Portlaoise. Private cremation will follow.

Audrey Mitchell (née Wynne)
Monnagh, Coolrain, Portlaoise, Laois

Audrey passed away suddenly on the 15th of April at the Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise in the presence of her husband Richard.

Pre-deceased by her father George, mother Emily and brother Richard.

Sadly missed by her husband Richard and her family and friends.

Catherine Dunne (née Conroy)
Derrylamogue, Rosenallis, Laois

Catherine Dunne (nee Conroy) Derrylamogue Rosenallis Co Laois passed away peacefully on April 17th surrounded by her caring and loving family at her home in Derrylamogue.

Predeceased by her husband Matt, her baby daughter Brigid, her parents Fintan and Molly Conroy, her brothers Stephen and Joe.

Sadly missed by her loving daughters Sheila and Jacinta and her son Sean, sons-in-law Richard and James and daughter-in-law Kim, her adoring grandchildren Alan and his wife Vicki, Beverly and her husband David, Ivan, Lee, Amy, Luke, Jason and their partners, Greatgranchildren Mollie, Maisie, Ben, Emer, Ava and Tadhg, her brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, neighbours, relatives and her many friends.

Reposing in her home (R32A2W7) on Good Friday and Easter Saturday from 4pm. Recital of The Rosary on Saturday evening at 8pm.

Funeral arriving to St. Brigid’s Church Rosenallis at 11am for Easter Sunday Mass (Via Cappard).

Burial after in St. Brigid’s Cemetery.

Timothy (Timmy) Young
18 Pattison Estate, Mountmellick, Laois

Timothy (Timmy) Young 18 Pattison Estate Mountmellick Co laois. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on 16th April at Tullamore Regional Hospital. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary brothers Sean and Liam and nephew Derek Young and recently deceased son-in-law Jimmy Charles.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Angela (Queenie) sons Kenneth and Darren, daughters Soyna and Elaine, grandchildren Joseph, James, Sarah, Conor, Emily and Jane daughters-in-law Carol and Rosario, son-in-law Ger and brothers, sisters, mother-in-law Moyra Murphy, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and large circle of family and friends.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home on Easter Sunday from 4pm. Recital of The Rosary at 5.30pm.

Reposing on Easter Monday from 12noon. Removal at 12.45pm to St.Joseph’s Church Mountmellick for Requiem Mass at 1pm. Burial after in St Joseph’s Cemetery.

Johnsgrove/Mellick, Rosenallis, Laois

Michael (Mick) Conroy Johnsgrove, Rosenallis and formerly Meelick in the loving care of his family and The I.C.U. Staff at Regional Hospital Tullamore April 16th 2025.

Loving son of the late Patrick and Maisie.

Deeply regretted by his dear partner Mary and his siblings Ann, Eileen, Mary, Martin, Noel and John, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and his many friends.

Reposing Moloney’s Funeral Home on Good Friday from 8pm. Recital of The Rosary at 9.30pm. Removal from his home on Easter Saturday morning at 11.40am to St Brigid’s Church Rosenallis arrriving for Liturgy of The Word at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St Brigids Cemetery.

Mary Gorman (née Lalor)
Emmet Street, Mountmellick, Laois

Mary Gorman (Née Lalor), Emmett Street, Mountmellick died suddenly and peacefully at home.

Predeceased by her beloved husband James (Jim) and her parents Tom and Margaret (Ciss).

Deeply regretted by her heart broken children Margaret, Jacqueline, Jim, Deirdre and Declan, her adored grandchildren James, Colm, James, Alisann, Ronan, Amy and Jayne, her sons-in-law Mick and Eddie, daughter-in-law Ann Marie, sister Trish, brother Tom, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours, friends and her dog Molly.
