Laois 8-10 Louth 2-7
Leinster Ladies MFC Round 3
The Laois minor ladies are through to the Leinster ‘B’ semi finals following a massive win away to Louth this afternoon.
Adrian Slevin’s charges were on fire as they recorded a 21 point victory over their hosts.
They didn’t have it all their own way initially though as Louth led 2-1 to 0-1 after 10 minutes.
But Laois dominiated the remainderof the half as they held Louth to just a solitary point.
In response, Graiguecullen’s Mia Branagan netted two while captain Kaylah O’Meara, Niamh Dundon and Lara Culleton also raised green flags.
With Anna Mulligan and Aisling Cawley also chipping in with points, Laois led 5-6 to 2-2 at half time.
And there was no let up from Laois as Branagan scored two more goals to take her tally to four while Dundon helped herself to a second.
Laois finish the group in top spot and now progress to the semi finals against Longford.
Their opponents competed in the ‘A’ section of the championship but drop down here after losing to Dublin, Kildare and Meath.
That is scheduled for Friday, April 18, with venue to be confirmed in the coming days.
