
The death of Mick O’Dwyer today at the age of 88 has brought memories flooding back for Laois football supporters.
The Kerry legend was Laois manager from 2003 to 2006, during which time he oversaw unprecedented modern-day success – a Leinster title in 2003 as well as two further Leinster final appearances, three All Ireland quarter-final appearance a Division 1 league final appearance and a Division 1 semi-final.
But as well as that, his tenure was just one feelgood moment after another: huge crowds, regular TV coverage and no end of fun.
