There is shock and sadness in Rosenallis and throughout Laois following the passing of Enda McEvoy.
Aged in his mid-30s and an electrician by trade, Enda passed away on Tuesday, April 1, in St James’ Hospital in Dublin surrounded by his loving family.
A proud Rosenallis GAA man, McEvoy had most recently lined out for his club in Round 1 of the ACHL Division 4 against Clonad on March 23.
Before that, he had spent last season playing in goals for club in the Laois senior hurling championship.
In 2019, he was part of the Rosenallis team that claimed the Laois SHC ‘A’ title after winning the IHC in 2016.
While in 2022, he was full back on the team that tasted Laois JHC ‘B’ success against Clough-Ballacolla.
He was much loved by everyone in Rosenallis where his positive attitude to life shone through.
Enda is pre-deceased by his loving mother Dorothy and his infant sister.
He is deeply regretted by his loving father Sean, brothers Richard, Michael, and Shane, sister-in-law Ann, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
Enda’s funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
May Enda Rest in Peace.
