Sheila Davis, Gurteen, Rosenallis Co.Laois died peacefully and in the loving care of her heartbroken family on the 21st of March. Dearly loved mother to John and mother in-law to Jacinta.
Beloved sister to Philomena and grandmother to Paul, Caroline and Adele. Greatly loved by her great grandchildren Tracey, Rebecca, Evie, Michael and Billy and Paul’s wife Catriona. Predeceased by her parents William and Mary, brothers Billy and Tom. sister Bess and Caroline’s husband Noel.
Reposing in her family home from 3pm on Saturday. Recital of the rosary at 8pm. Removal from her family home on Sunday at 2.30pm arriving for Funeral mass in St.Brigid’s church Rosenallis for 3pm on Sunday. Burial afterwards in St.Brigid’s Cemetery.

Peacefully, and in the loving care of his heartbroken family. Predeceased by his sisters Agnes and Kay.
Beloved husband to Charlotte, loving father to son John, daughters Caroline, Anne and Claire. Grandchildren James, Lucy, Emma, Laoise, Tadhg, Jenna and John. Daughter-in-law Geraldine, sons-in-law Michael and John. Brother Paddy, and sister Mary, brothers-in-law, sister-in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends and former colleagues of An Garda Sìochàna.
Reposing Moloney’s Funeral Home on Sunday from 3.30pm. Recital of the Rosary at 6pm. Removal from his home on Monday at 10.30am to St. Joseph’s Church arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial after in St Joseph’s Cemetery.

Ann (Nan) Keenan (nee Cuddy), Corrigeen, Castletown, Co. Laois. Died March 21st 2025, peacefully at her home in her 97th year, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her husband Tom, brother Sean and sister Eilish.
Deeply regretted by her loving family, Margaret, Ann, Teresa, Bernie and Matt, sisters Peg and Kathleen, grandchildren Megan, Lillie, Thomas, Daniel, Jamie and Patrick, son in law Paddy, daughter in law Jan, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at her home Corrigeen, Castletown, (Eircode R32KN83) Saturday (March 22th) from 4pm concluding with prayers at 9pm. Removal from her home on Sunday (March 23rd) to St. Edmund’s Church, Castletown, for Funeral Mass at 2pm, followed by burial in Churchtown Cemetery, Castletown.
Betty Moore (née Hanlon)
Ballycleary, Castletown, Laois
Betty Moore (nee Hanlon), Ballycleary, Castletown, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Died March 21st 2025, peacefully in the loving care of the ICU staff, at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise, surrounded by her loving family.
Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by her family Sinead and Jim, grandchildren Méibh, David, Eirin and Darcey, son in law Jack (Peters) and daughter in law Jo, sisters Mary, Breda, Bernie and Trisha, brothers Eamon, Paddy and Danny, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at her daughter Sinead’s home, Campclone, Castletown (Eircode R32E0V6) Saturday (March 22nd) from 6pm to 8pm, Sunday (March 23rd) from 5pm concluding with prayers at 8pm.
Betty’s funeral cortege will arrive at St. Edmund’s Church, Castletown on Monday (March 24th) for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Churchtown Cemetery, Castletown.
Mary Murphy (née Grogan)

It is with deep sadness, in her 90th year, that we announce the passing of Mary Murphy (née Grogan), Emmet St, Mallow, (formerly of Lisduff, Co Laois).
Mary passed away peacefully on 20th March 2025, surrounded by the love of her family at Cork University Hospital.
Pre-deceased by her devoted husband Jerry, most recently deceased by her daughter Paula, Toronto, Canada, and sister of the late Joe, Sam and infant sister Kathleen. Loving Mother of Geraldine (Thomas), Cathal and Fiona (O’Callaghan).
Mary will be forever missed by her heartbroken family, brother Charlie (Lally), sister Nettie, her daughter-in-law Fiona, sons-in-law David and Dermot, her adoring grandchildren Darragh, Abbie, Muireann and Adam, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, amazing neighbours and her wonderful caregivers Claire and Alek.
Mary will be remembered for her kindness, and the joy and love she brought to her family and friends and of course her timeless glamour.

Fr.Patrick Mooney Anam Cara Moneyquid Killeigh Co.Offaly and formerly Connecticut U.S.A. died peacefully March 18th at home.
Beloved son of the late Sean and Julia Mooney Clonaslee Survived by his brother Seamus (Rosenallis) and sister Anno (Florida U.S.A.)
Deeply regretted by his family cousins, nieces nephews, good friends and his parishioners who worshipped with him for 45 years. Funeral arrangements later.

Sean Wisely (Proprietor of Nutgrove Sand & Gravel Ltd) Nutgrove, Rosenallis, Co.Laois died on the 20th March peacefully at The Regional Hospital Tullamore surrounded by his heart broken loving family.
Beloved husband of the late Ina. Dearly loved Father to John. Cherished grandfather to Sinéad, Aoife and Sean, great-grandfather to Fiadh and Rían. Deeply regretted by his loving daughter -in-law Mary, nieces, nephews, sisters in law, neighbours, relatives and many friends.
Sean will repose in his home (R32EV88) on Friday from 4pm with recital of the rosary at 8pm.
Reposing from 2pm on Saturday until 5.30pm. Removal at 5.45pm to St. Brigid’s Church, Rosenallis arriving at 6.30pm. Burial on Sunday after 11am mass in St. Brigid’s Cemetery.

Predeceased by his wife Ber and parents Michael and Teresa White. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his brother Frank, sister Peg, sister-in-law Bridget, brother-in-law Alan, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at Brookhaven Nursing Home, Ballyragget this evening (Thursday March 20th) from 6 o’clock until 7.30. Reposing at his brother Frank’s residence (Eircode R32 R6V6) on Friday March 21st. from 5 o’clock pausing for prayers at 8 o’clock.
Removal on Saturday morning to the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney arriving for Requiem Mass at 10 o’clock. Cremation takes place at 3 pm in The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.

Former Sinn Fein Town Councillor, Founder Member Mountmellick Christmas Tree Commitee and Mountmellick Credit Union, Life Long Member Pioneer Total Abstinence Association, Member of Mountmellick Active Retirement Group, Mountmellick Gun Club, Mountmellick Angling Club, Irish Camping and Caravan Club, Associate member Mountmellick Macra.
Predeceased by his dear wife Angela and his brothers Tony, Austin, Sam and Oliver. Deeply regretted by his sons Stephen, Brian and Liam and their wives Mary, Ann and Deirdre, his five grandchildren and five great grandchildren, brother Ger and sister Margaret, nieces nephews, sister- in-law Sheila, brother-in-law Hubert, neighbours, relatives and his many friends.

Predeceased by her husband George and sons Michael, Owen and George. Deeply regretted by her sons Billy, John, Hugh and Kevin, daughters Kathleen and Lillie, daughters-in-law Margaret and Cora, sons-in-law Joe and Michael, partners Fiona, Eileen and Angela, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.
Reposing at her son Kevin’s home (eircode R32D378) on Thursday evening (20th March) from 4.0’clock, concluding with Rosary at 8.0’clock. Removal on Friday morning (21st March) to St. Canice’s Church Clough (eircode R32K003), for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by Burial in Bealady Cemetery, Rathdowney.
