St Patrick’s Day is officially on March 17 but that didn’t stop those in Rathdowney from going a day early.
Sunday morning in the Laois town was a hive of excitement as crowds gathered from early.
The parade was held on Sunday as part of Rathdowney’s Family Fun Festival.
St Fergal’s College was the meeting place as those taking part gathered from 11am.
The parade began at 12pm and saw those involved march down to the square and back again.
All types of organisations were represented with those from Borris-In-Ossory taking part as the GAA club proudly paraded their Premier IHC trophy that was won in 2024.
Photographer Nicola Ryan was at the parade for LaoisToday and captured some brilliant images.
