Stradbally St Patrick's Day Parade Main 2025

One of the longest serving St Patrick’s Day parades in Laois did not disappoint as a huge crowd turned out in Stradbally.

Stradbally is a parish that has three parades beginning with Vicarstown at 9am and Timahoe then at 10am.

Members of those parades then arrive in Stradbally for a massive celebration at 11am.

Fr Sean Kelly has been the driving force behind this for almost 40 years at he was head of affairs once again.

And what a display that those in attendance got to witness with a range of vehicles, a ukulele band and even a few miniature horses.

With the school band and various different organisations represented, it took 30 minutes for the parade to pass through the town.

It arrived back into the church where mass was held and then it was on to St Patrick’s Hall where the cake was had.

Photographer Ross Molloy was present at the parade and captured some brilliant images.
