Three Laois rugby players have been named in the Ireland Club team to face Portugal ‘A’ in a match in Lisbon Friday.
Ratheniska’s Craig Adams, who plays for Terenure, has been named on the wing.
While Portlaoise’s Conor Kelly, who is with Clontarf, has been selected at outhalf.
And the third member of the team from Laois in Portlaoise’s Luke Rigney. The Terenure man has been named as loose head prop.
All three are former members of Portlaoise Rugby Club and this is a huge honour for them.
The game, which will be streamed live on irishrugby+, kicks off at 5pm on March 14.
Head Coach Adam Craig said: “The players have all worked hard at our training camps and we’re excited for this game against Portugal ‘A’.
“The Energia All-Ireland League is packed with talented players and there are exciting matches every week.
“It’s fantastic to have these players pull on a green jersey and represent Ireland and the league in this way.”
