As the new season of golf is to begin, Rathdowney golf club hosted a Captain’s Drive-In.
As the winter passes, golfers are ready to be back on the course.
This anticipation was present with the event, which took place last week weekend in a showcase of the season ahead.
The golf balls would be teed off in Rathdowney and the elation was evident as the atmosphere was electric.
The event saw a great turnout and was met with excitement and exhilaration for the commencement of the annual golfing season.
In supporting the Captain Paul Kelly and Lady Captain Claire Paul Delahunty, the Captain’s Drive-In seen many members, family and friends attended in droves.
As the competition wrapped-up the winners were a team consisting of – Edward Kelly, Mary Paul Delahunty and Eamon Delahunty.
Second place would be comprised of Brian Fitzpatrick, Catherine Fitzpatrick and Christine Fitzpatrick.
Finally in third place, the team of Paschal Bergin, Andrew Whelan and Christy Jones would be take the final place on the podium.
The Rathdowney golf club has expressed its “excitement for the year”, with many more events and competitions to come, there will be much to look forward to.
