Jimmy Flynn
Fisherstown, Ballybrittas, Laois

Jimmy passed away peacefully in his 93rd year in Oghill Nursing Home, Monasterevin Co. Kildare, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his mother Mary, father William, brothers Bill, Michael, Paddy, Lar and Joe.

Sadly missed by Kevin and his brothers Ned and John, sisters May, Theresa and Nancy, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Jimmy will be reposing in Our Lady’s Chapel Monasterevin (W34 N599) on Saturday 1st of March from 4pm to 8pm with recital of the rosary at 8pm and Sunday from 1pm to 4pm.

Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors on Monday morning from his residence at 11.30am to arrive at the Sacred Heart Church Rath (R32 FN44) for 12 noon Requiem mass. Interment to follow in the new cemetery Emo.

Kathleen Margaret McDonagh nee McDonagh 11 Riverside Park,Queensferry, UK.

Died peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Sadly missed by her loving husband John, her adored sons, John, Tyson, James, Arthur and Paddy, grandchildren, her daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Botley Court, Portarlington, Laois/Killeigh, Offaly/Kildare Town, Kildare

Formerly of Killeigh County Offaly and Kildare Town. Peacefully at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by her parents, brothers and sisters. Sadly missed by her loving brother Michael, sister Kathleen, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Friday evening from 4:45pm with Removal at 6:20pm arriving Church Of The Immaculate Conception, Walsh Island at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

John Kennedy
Boleybeg, Spink, Abbeyleix, Laois

John died at The Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. He is predeceased by his wife Mary and son Jimmy. He lived for many years in Manchester. Sadly missed by his sons John, Gee, Edward and Paul, daughter Jacqueline, brother in law Thomas and his wife Helen, daughters in law, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence in Boleybeg, Spink from 1 oc on Friday with Prayers at 7 oc. Funeral Mass on Saturday in St.Brigid’s Church, Ballinakill at 12 oc followed by burial in St.Brigid’s Cemetery.

Sean (John) Mahon
Harbour Street, Mountmellick, Laois

Sean (John) Mahon, Harbour Street, Mountmellick, died peacefully in the care of the staff of St. Carthages Nursing Home, Mucklagh, Co Offaly on 26 February 2025, in his 90th year.

Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Peter Mahon, his beloved wife Margaret, and his sisters and brother Molly Gregg (London), Lily Walsh (Bradford), Bridie Hogan (Tullamore) and Denis Mahon (Bradford).

Sadly missed by his daughters Marie and Shauna, sons in law John and Graham, grandchildren Juan, Emma and Thomas, his sister Peg Gibson (Ipswich), nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing St.Carthage Nursing Home Mucklagh (R35EK85) on Thursday from 6pm. Recital of The Rosary at 7.30pm.

Reposing Moloney’s Funeral Home (R32 PC95) on Friday from 5pm. Recital of The Rosary at 6.30pm.

Reposing St.Carthage Nursing Home, Mucklagh (R35EK85) on Thursday from 6pm.

Removal from Moloney’s Funeral Home on Saturday morning at 10.45am to St. Joseph’s Church, Mountmellick, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial after in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
