Mary Ryan (née Whelan) Forestpark Ave., Portlaoise, Co. Laois & Formerly of Knockainey & Thomondgate Limerick. After a short illness borne with grace in Naas General hospital. Predeceased by her husband Tommy, sister Nelly (Kavanagh), brothers Liam, Michael (Boffy), Pat and son-in-law Kevin (O’Brien). Sadly missed by her loving family Gráinne, Elaine, Thérèse, Aidan and Catherine, adored grandchildren David, Dylan, Clíona, Lauren, Olivia, Emmy and Jack, sons in law Stuart and Eamonn, daughter-in-law Alena, sister Breda, brothers Jim, Joe and Jer, good friend Maeve, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, family relatives and friends. Mary’s family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful staff of Mill Lane nursing home in Naas – Mary’s home for the last couple of years – and the very caring staff of Naas General Hospital.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Tuesday February 18th from 6pm till 7:30pm with rosary at 7pm. Requiem mass on Wednesday at 11am in SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise. Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.

Sheila Kehoe (née Hyland)
Portlaoise, Laois

Sheila Kehoe (née Hyland). Dysart Cross, Stradbally and formerly Ballydavis, The Heath. Died 16th February 2025 peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Deeply regretted by her husband Mick, sons Michael and David, daughters in law Kristen and Becki, sister Maria, her adored grandchildren Daniel, Edie Peach and Kayleigh, dear friends Agnes, Carmel and Patsy, sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home Portlaoise on Monday February 17th from 6pm till 7:30pm with Rosary at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11am in the Church of the Assumption, The Heath followed by interment in the adjourning graveyard.

Killian Brown
Colliers Wood, Portlaoise, Laois/Naas, Kildare/Blanchardstown, Dublin

Formerly of Naas, County Kildare and Blanchardstown, Dublin. Peacefully at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise.

Predeceased by his father Christopher and brother David. Sadly missed by his daughter Amanda and her mother Caroline, son Kienan and his mother Elke, adoring grandchild Leo, dear mother Teresa, brothers Chris, Gerry, Philip, Adrian, Ronan and Jonathan, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Friday evening 21st February from 6pm until 8pm. A Service of Thanksgiving in Mahers Chapel of Rest Portarlington on Saturday 22nd February at 10am. Interment afterwards in St Brochans Cemetery, Bracknagh, County Offaly.

Thomas (Tom) Byrne
Ballybrittas, Laois/Athy, Kildare

Panama/Ballybrittas, Laois/Grangemellon, Athy.

On February 10th, 2025, unexpectedly in Panama. Tom, beloved husband of Shirly, devoted Dad to James and Kenneth.

Predeceased by his loving father James.

Sadly missed by his mother Monica, brothers Michael and Kenneth, sisters Brenda and Marion, sisters-in-law Anna and Karen, brother-in-law Bab, aunts Maura and Mary, nieces and nephews, extended family and large circle of friends in both Panama and Ireland.

Funeral took place in Panama on 13th February, 2025.

Memorial service will take place at 11am on Friday 21st February in St. Michael’s Parish Church, Athy, County Kildare, see livestream link http://www.parishofathy.ie

Predeceased by his Father Tom and his Aunts Lil Kelly Mountmellick, Rose Carroll Portarlington and Nellie Dempsey U.K. Deeply regretted by his loving Aunt Mary Lalor Davin Park Mountmellick and her husband Martin, cousins neighbours, relatives and his many friends.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5pm. Recital of The Rosary at 6.30pm. Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9.30am. Removal at 10.30am to St. Joseph’s Church for Requiem Mass at 11am VIA his home in The Harbour. Burial after in St.Josephs Cemetery.

Liam Rose, Knockiel Drive, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, February 14th. 2025, peacefully at his residence in the presence of his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents, his brothers Seàn and Bernard, and his sister Marie.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife Kate, sons Michael, David, Liam and Chris, their partners Maryann, Gill and Anna, his adored grandchildren, brother David, sister Anne, sister-in-law Carol and her husband Robert, brothers-in-law Jimmy and Joe, sister-in-law Kay, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Doyle’s Funeral Home Urlingford (Eircode E41 XO38) on Monday evening February 17th from 6 o’clock until 7.30. Removal on Tuesday February 18th. to Mount Jerome Crematorium arriving for funeral service at 2.30 pm.

Breda Smyth (née Doherty)
Emoclew Road, Arklow, Wicklow/Rathdowney, Laois

Formerly of Knockiel, Rathdowney, Co Laois.

Peacefully at The Beacon Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Beloved wife of Peter & adored mother of Damien, Paul & Killian. Much-loved sister of Pat & the late Charlie, Mary, Ned & Jimmy. She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing husband, sons, daughters-in-law Linda, Tanya & Lisa, grandchildren Jodie, Lexi, Billy, Lauren & Eve, brother, brothers-in-law sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours & friends.

London, England and formerly of Ballylinan, Co. Laois. Peter is predeceased by his parents Jim and Lily, brothers Tom, Bernard and Paddy and sisters-in-law Geraldine, Rose and Alice. Deeply regretted by his loving siblings Jimmy, Michael, Mary and Betty, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.

Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Tuesday, February 18th in St Anne’s Church, Ballylinan. Burial afterwards in Ballylinan Cemetery.
