Brian McHugh, Johnstown Rd. Rathdowney, Co. Laois, January 27th. 2025, peacefully in the presence of his loving family.
He will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife Mary, son Maurice, daughter Elaine, daughter-in-law Deirdre, son-in-law Liam, his adored grandchildren Seàn, Jack, Róisín, Aoife and Eimear, brother Martin, sisters Christine and Janet, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, his good neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at his residence Johnstown Rd. Rathdowney (Eircode R32 X2F7) on Wednesday evening January 29th. from 4 o’clock pausing for prayers at 7 o’clock. Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in Bealady Cemetery.

Martin passed away peacefully at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin surrounded by his loving family, after a short illness
Predeceased by his Dad, John (formerly of the Old Road, Moneenroe, Castlecomer).
Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his loving wife Sharon, son Kian, daughters India and Sophia, mother Mary, father-in-law Pat, mother-in-law Nellie, brothers-in-law Anthony and Padraig, sister-in-law Michelle, nieces, nephew, aunts and uncle, cousins, extended family, friends and work colleagues.
Reposing at Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlecomer from 4pm on Tuesday (28th January) concluding with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 7pm.
Funeral Prayers on Wednesday morning at 11am followed by removal to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Moneenroe for Requiem Mass at 12 Noon.

Formerly of 45 Assumpta Tce, Portarlington County Offaly. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family while in the tender care of the staff of Oakdale Nursing Home Portarlington. Loving daughter of the late Ger and Madge and dear aunt of the late Niall.
Deeply regretted by her loving brothers and sisters Marty, Marian, Annie, Colette, Mag, Gerry and Michael, godchild Clodagh, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, friends and fellow residents of La Bergerie.
Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Tuesday evening from 5pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 9:20am arriving St Michael’s Church, Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery, Portarlington.

Andrew (Andy) Quinn, Old Borris, Castletown, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Died January 24th 2025, peacefully at his home.
Predeceased by his wife Mary (Mitchell), brothers Tom, Jack and Joe, sister Mena (Foley).
Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by his loving brother Leo, sisters Maura, Ester and Ann, sister in law Ann, brothers in law Pat and Peter, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Kilcoole Co Wicklow formally Greystones, Timore and Stradbally Co Laois.
Carmel passed away peacefully at St Colman’s Hospital Rathdrum on Friday 24th January 2025 peacefully in her 87th year and in the company of her family. Predeceased by her husband Tommy and brother Danny.
Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children Carol, Shane, Fiona, Martina and Trevor, grandchildren Stephen, Lorcan, Charlie, Oisín, Cuan, Cian, Hugo and Molly, daughters in law Yvonne and Sophie, sons in law Aidan, Philip and Jason, brother Kevin, extended family and friends.
Carmel will repose at the William Doyle Funeral Home, Kilcoole, from 6pm until 8pm on Wednesday 29th. Funeral Mass on Thursday 30th at 11.30am in St Patrick’s Church Kilquade followed by burial in Kilquade New Cemetry.

James Carroll, Hillside View, Clonaslee (R32 D2Y9) and formerly of Ballybritt, Roscrea Co. Tipperary, passed away suddenly on 24th January 2025.
James was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Ita.
Beloved husband of Eliz; cherished father of Marna, Alma and Martin; adored grandfather to Arthur, Jude, Lughaidh, Eve, Holly, Ava and Croia, he is deeply regretted by his brother John and sisters Noreen, Pauline, Mary and Monica; sons in law Daniel and James, daughter-in-law Sínead; brothers-in-law, sister-in/law, nieces and nephews, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing in his home on Saturday from 2pm – 6pm. Reposing on Sunday from 2pm with Recital of The Rosary on Sunday evening at 6pm. Removal from his home on Monday morning at 11.30am to St.Manmans Church for Requiem Mass at 12 noon.
Burial after in St Manmans Cemetery.

On January 25th 2025 peacefully after a short illness at her home, in the presence of her loving family, Cathy (late Cystic Fibrosis Specialist Nurse, Cork University Hospital) beloved daughter of the late Joe and Betty Shortt and loving sister of Noel, Pauline, Michael and the late Joseph and Brendan, sister-in-law of the late Patrick Gill and aunt of the late David. Sadly missed by her loving sister and brothers, sisters-in-law Bernadette and Caroline, nieces Rachel, Sinead, Eilís and Lorna, nephews Brendan, Andrew, Pádraig, Michael and Martin, godchildren Andrew, Clare Geraghty and Robert Jolley, extended family, relatives, kind neighbours, her C.U.H. family, colleagues, her many lifelong friends especially Jo and her loyal companions Sonny and Lady.

Teresa Kealy (née Cranny) late of Enfield, London and formerly Ballylinan and Athy, passed away suddenly in the loving care of the staff of St. Theresas Care Home, Bush Hill Park, London.
Predeceased by her husband Sean and deeply regretted by her daughters Maria (Mitchell), Margaret, Michele and her son John. Grandchildren John, David, Lucy, Victoria and Harriet. Great grandchildren Zachary, Matilda, Joshua, India, Hudson and Finley. nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, relatives, extended family and friends.
Teresa’s Requiem Mass in London will be held at the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. George, Enfield, on 29th January followed by repatriation from London to Athy.
Teresa will repose at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, Mt. Hawkins, Athy (R14 NX80) on Wednesday, 5th February 2025, from 2.30pm until removal at 4.30pm to St. Ann’s Church, Ballylinan, Co. Laois for reception prayers at 5pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday, 6th February, at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Formerly of Greenmill Lane/ St. Brigids, and Late of Esker, Ballyfin. Whom passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of nurses and staff of Tullamore Hospital. Pre deceased by her loving husband Brendan, her son Kieran, and brothers Shawn and Robert. Adored mother of Angela, Kelley, Tracy, Brendan, Sean and Laura. Deeply regretted by her loving family; brother Neil, sister June, grandchildren, great-grandson, sons in law, daughters in law, sisters in law Linda and Lesley, close friends Margaret and Geraldine, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.
