Laois County Council has recently approved a series of planning applications across various industries and services in the county.
Brook Advantage Limited have been given the green light to develop Phase One of a proposed three-phased housing development at Rathmoyle on the Ballyroan Road in Abbeyleix.
Phase one will consist of 28 houses including one four-bed detached houses; 20 four-bed, semi-detached houses; and seven three-bed terrace houses in two blocks.
The development will take in all associated site development works including footpaths, parking, fencing, drainage, and landscaping.
Construction access is sought from the N77 to the site, while access to the proposed development will be via The Fairways.
Newshore Limited were awarded conditional permission to carry out a series of alterations to their residential development in Tinnakill, Raheen.
The alterations include extra car parking, an altered parking layout, additional porches and fencing, and the addition of a duplex unit.
Navasota Limited have also received permission to carry out minor alterations to their residential development at Millers Hill, Killenard.
The alterations include the provision of additional floor area, single storey extensions, internal layout alterations, and amended external elevations and roof arrangements.
Meanwhile, the Board of Management Shanganamore National School, Barrowhouse, have been awarded permission to construct a new single-storey pitched roof extension and flat roof link corridors at the rear of the school.
Portlaoise Rugby Club received conditional permission to extend the existing changing rooms at their grounds in Togher.
Permission has also been granted to Vantage Towers Limited to make an alternative at their existing compound at Morette, Emo.
The alteration will see a 24m lattice telecommunications support structure replacing the existing 15 metre lattice telecommunications structure.
This will increase the overall height to 25.2 metres from the current 16.96 metres and will also include associated antennas and dishes.
