A Laois hotel raised close to €11,500 over the Christmas period with the proceeds going towards a fantastic local charity.
The Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise announced that they have raised €11,496 for Friends of Suicide Loss through its Christmas Community Donation Initiative.
Friends of Suicide Loss is a wonderful organisation dedicated to offering support services for individuals impacted by suicide.
During December, €1 from every meal purchased at the Kelly’s Steakhouse and Charter Bar and Eatery at Midlands Park Hotel went towards the charity.
The Portlaoise hotel is part of the Neville Park Hotel Group, who spearheaded the fundraising initiative.
“We are delighted with the incredible results of this programme supporting such meaningful causes,” Colm Neville from the Neville Park Hotel Group said.
“It embodies our commitment to giving back to the communities we serve and championing the issues our teams are passionate about.
“We look forward to expanding on this initiative in 2025 with the inclusion of Newtown Park Hotel, the most recent addition to the Neville Park Hotel Group’s portfolio.”
In total, the Dine Out and Donate initiative raised €21,736 for charities selected by employees of the Neville Park Hotel Group.
The Riverside Park Hotel in Enniscorthy raised €7,538 to support Futures In Mind (formerly Talk To Tom), a local charity dedicated to suicide prevention, mental health awareness and bereavement supports.
The Crown Quarter in Wexford, meanwhile, raised €2,729 for the Hope Cancer Support Centre which provides vital services to people throughout Wexford whose lives have been changed by a cancer diagnosis.
In total, the three hotels raised €21,736 over the Christmas period.
