Emily Ellen Culhane. The birches lower Boley, Abbeyleix, Co.Laois. Died January 5th 2025. Unexpectedly at Beaumont Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved daughter to Sean and Bernie and beloved sister to Sam.

Fairymount, Crettyard, Laois/Gowran, Kilkenny
Martin Brophy, of Fairymount, Crettyard, Co Laois and formerly of Ballyquirke, Gowran, Co Kilkenny, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, after a short illness, on January 6th, 2025, under the wonderful care of the Nurses and Staff at University Hospital, Waterford.
Beloved husband of the late Margaret, much loved father of Teresa, Carmel, Patrick and Martina, adored grandfather of Saoirse, Aoibhinn, Caoimhe, Síofra and Ellen and cherished brother of John, Mary and the late Timothy.
He will be sadly missed by his loving son, daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law Paul and Colin, Martina’s partner Ross, daughter-in-law Daiva, brother, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Brigid(Nancy) Davin nèe Campion, Tentore, Ballacolla and formerly of Graine, Urlingford Co. Kilkenny . Unexpectedly but peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Billy. Deeply regretted by her loving son William, adored granddaughter Carrie, sister-in-law Mary, brother-in-law John, her good friend Kathleen, cousins, neighbours and friends.

Michael passed away peacefully on the 7th January 2025, in the care of the staff at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Margaret, sisters and brothers
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his brothers, sisters, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family relatives and friends.
Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath on Thursday evening (Jan 9th) from 6.0’clock concluding with Rosary at 7.0’clock. Removal on Friday morning (Jan 10th) to St. Fergal’s Church Camross for Requiem Mass at 11.0’clock, followed by Burial in the adjoining Cemetery.

Angela Broderick, Knockiel Rd. Rathdowney, Co. Laois, unexpectedly at home. Predeceased by her dad John.
Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her heartbroken family, her mam Kathleen, brothers Kevin and John, sister Mary, sister-in-law Margaret, brother-in-law David Morgan, nieces and nephews Alanna, Daniel (D.J.), John, Conor and Gràinne, uncles, aunts, extended family, neighbours, work colleagues at Aer Lingus and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at her residence (Eircode R32 E5C8) on Thursday January 9th. 2025 from 4 o’clock pausing for prayers at 7.30. Removal to The Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney on Friday morning arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon.
Interment afterwards in St. Brigid’s Cemetery Shanahoe Co Laois.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:30pm until 8pm with rosary at 7:30pm. Removal on Thursday to SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise for 2pm requiem mass. Interment will follow immediately afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Edward and Julia. Sisters Mary, Mag, Diana, Betty, Angela, Geraldine, brothers Sonny, Oliver, Frankie. Sons Joseph, and Christopher, and Liam. Grandson Jamie-Lee. Deeply regretted by his heart broken sisters Ann, Lucy, Sheila, Jacinta and Bernie, brothers Paul and Michael, children Paul, William, John, Patrick, Caroline and Shannon and all his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing at his granddaughter Tanya Culbert’s residence in Stradbally (R32AEY1) on Tuesday evening from 7 pm. With rosary at 8 pm on Wednesday reposing at his own residence at 20 O`Moore place from 3 pm. With rosary at 8 pm. Removal on Thursday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 11 am Mass. Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Br. Michael (Finian) Loran, De La Salle Brothers, Castletown, Portlaoise, Co. Laois and late of Hightown, Coralstown, Co. Westmeath. Died January 7th 2025, peacefully in the loving care of the community and staff of Miguel House.
Predeceased by his parents William and Mary, his brothers Tom, Bill, Jim, Paddy, Jack, sisters-in-law Kitty, Joan and Bridge, brother-in-law Noel. Sadly missed by his sister Margaret, sister-in-law Ellen, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relations and friends, and especially by his confreres in religion and the staff in Miguel House.
Reposing in Miguel House (R32NX40) on Wednesday January 8th from 11am with Evening Prayer and Rosary at 6.30pm on Wednesday Evening. Funeral Mass on Thursday 9th at 12 Noon, followed by Burial immediately afterwards in the Monastery Cemetery, Castletown.

Removal from his home on Thursday morning (Jan 9th) at 11.45am to arrive at St. Kieran’s Church, Knockaroo, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by interment in the adjoining Cemetery.
