2024: A Magical Year at SOLAS
As we say goodbye to another wonderful year, SOLAS Eco Garden Centre is celebrating all the highlights that made 2023 so special.
From incredible events to exciting new additions, here’s a look back at a year filled with growth, fun, and community spirit.
- Seasonal Events: Thousands of visitors joined us for our lively Easter Egg Hunts, vibrant Summer Festivals, spooky Halloween celebrations, and now our enchanting Santa Grotto Experience.
Each event brought families and friends together, creating lasting memories.
- Food Court Expansion: Our much-loved food court has become the heart of SOLAS. This year, we expanded seating, introduced more wholesome food options, and created an even more relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere where visitors can enjoy delicious food surrounded by nature.
- Play Area Improvements: Families enjoyed our newly enhanced play area, giving kids a safe and exciting space to play while parents relax in the food court.
- New Concessions: We introduced some unique additions to SOLAS this year, including a range of preloved furniture and vintage gifts—perfect for sustainable and one-of-a-kind shopping.

A Fond Farewell
This December, we bid a heartfelt farewell to John Carey, a founder and owner of SOLAS Eco Garden Centre.
For the past 15 years, John has been at the heart of SOLAS, shaping the business with his vision, hard work, and dedication.
His passion for creating a thriving garden center and community hub has been instrumental in making SOLAS what it is today.
John will now embark on a new journey, pursuing his true passion—a career in garden design and horticultural advice. While he will be greatly missed by the entire SOLAS team, we are incredibly grateful for his leadership, creativity, and commitment over the years.
We wish John every success in this exciting next chapter and thank him for the remarkable legacy he leaves behind.
