Passed away peacefully at St. Vincent’s Hospital Mountmellick surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her parents Daniel (Dan) and Mary (Mamie) and her brothers Seán and Seamus.
Deeply regretted by her loving husband Seamus, her son Martin, her daughters Susan and Joan, her cherished grandsons Michael, James, Conor, Neil, Aidan and Paul, sons-in-law Marc and Russell, her brothers Donal, Tom and Ger, her sister Mary, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Reposing at Moloneys Funeral Home Mountmellick (R32 PC95) on Friday from 5pm. Recital of the Rosary at 6.30pm. Removal from her home on Saturday morning at 10.15am arriving to St. Joseph’s Church Mountmellick for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Christine Saunders (née Dunne)
Borris rd., Portlaoise, Laois
Christine Saunders (nee Dunne) Borris Rd. Portlaoise. 18th December 2024 . Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Beloved wife of the late Tony. Dearly loved mother to Eilish Abbott and cherished grandmother to George, Clare and Trevor. Deeply regretted by her loving family, son in law Ger, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Friday from 6.30 pm until 8pm Rosary will be recited at 7.30 pm. Removal on Saturday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 12 noon mass. Interment in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery afterwards.
James (Jim) Rankin
Lucan, Dublin/Stradbally, Laois
Passed from this earth, peacefully December 18th, in his 92nd year. Deeply missed by Eithna (Terry Howe), his wife of 54 years, his daughter Avril, son in law Sean Lacey and beloved granddaughters Hazel and Esther.
Reposing at Avril’s home K78 N7Y3 on Friday, 20th December. All welcome. Private burial on Saturday, 21st December.
Veronica (Vera) O’Connor (née Kearney)
Bayside, Dublin/Ballybrittas, Laois
O’Connor, Veronica (Vera), (née Kearney) –17th December 2024, (Bayside, Dublin 13 and formerly of Ballybrittas, Co. Laois), Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and friends in the wonderful care of the staff at Beaumont Hospital. Loving mother of Anne-Marie and Patrick. Predeceased by her loving husband William (Bill). Sadly missed by her son and daughter, daughter-in-law Majella, grandchildren Eve and Oisín, brother-in-law James, dearest friends Kathleen and Laura, extended family, many close friends and neighbours.
Reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Oscar Traynor Rd, Coolock on Friday afternoon, 20th December, from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Saturday morning to the Church of The Resurrection, Bayside arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in Fingal Cemetery.

Patricia (Trish) Byrne 57 Emmet Street Mountmellick died December 18th.
Predeceased by her dear partner Ken Merthens.
Mother of Tracy, Mark and the late Paul and grandmother of James, Louise, Georgia, Mary, Lily and Lauren, sister of Joe and Noreen.
Deeply regretted by her family and her friends in particular Michael Brennan, Willie Bracken and Martina Kelly.

Michael died peacefully at home in the presence of his loving family after a short illness.
Deeply regretted by his wife Pauline, son Gary, daughter Rachael, son in law Dave, daughter in law Genevieve, sister Olive, brother Eamonn, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and good friends.
Reposing at his home from 11oc on Thursday with Rosary at 6oc.
Removal at 6.45pm on Thursday evening to St.Brigid’s Church Ballinakill,arriving for 7pm.

Seamus Dunne
Hackney, London and formerly of Trumera, Mountrath, Laois
The death has occurred of Seamus Dunne, Hackney, formerly of Trumera, Mountrath Co Laois, who passed away peacefully on December 11th, 2024 at St Joseph’s Hospice, Hackney in his 90th year.
Beloved husband of Kathleen, much loved Dad of Vincent, Catherine and James and Grandad to Joshua and Brenna.
Predeceased by his brothers William, James, Har, Peter, Fintan and Martin and sisters Mai, Bridie, Margaret, Kathleen and Josie.
He will be sadly be missed by his nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Funeral 17/1/2024 at 11 am in St John the Baptist Church, King Edward Road, Hackney, London.
