St Paul’s Monasterevin student claims national art competition win

A Fifth Year student from St Paul’s Secondary School, Monasterevin, has won a national art competition.

Anna Antonova has been named the national winner of the TESS Art Competition as part of the 2024 National Attendance Campaign.

This prestigious competition saw participation from over 3,000 schools nationwide, making Anna’s triumph all the more remarkable.

Anna, a gifted artist known for her creative flair and dedication, first clinched the regional prize before going on to secure the top honor at the national level.

Her artwork, which beautifully captured the theme of attendance and its vital role in education, was praised for its originality, depth, and artistic excellence.

According to her school, Anna’s success is ‘a testament not only to her incredible talent but also to her hard work and commitment’.

They said: “She is a shining example of the vibrant student community at St. Paul’s.

“Alongside her sister, Cristiana, who is also in fifth year, Anna enjoys school life and actively contributes to the school’s creative and academic culture.
