Mary Maher née Brady, Lake Glade, Kilminchy, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Formerly Pairc Mhuire, Newbridge, Co. Kildare. Peacefully, 10th December 2024, at Lourdesville Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. Wife of the late John. Sadly missed by her loving daughter Lindsey, son Jason, son in law Paul, daughter in law Anne, grandchildren Conor and Megan, brothers Billy and Jim, sisters Patricia and Margaret, brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Glennons Funeral Home, 32 Main Street, Newbridge from 5pm on Thursday concluding with Rosary at 7pm. Removal on Friday morning to arrive at St. Conleth’s Parish Church, Newbridge for requiem mass at 11.30am. Cremation service afterwards in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross, Dublin at 1:45pm. Tony O’Kelly
Ballickmoyler, Carlow/Ballickmoyler, Laois

The death has occurred of Tony O’Kelly of Ballickmoyler, Carlow, Co. Laois- passed away peacefully on December 10th, 2024, under the excellent care of the nurses of The Barrow Ward, St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.

Beloved husband of the late Betty, much loved dad of Ray, cherished father-in-law of Clodagh and adoring grandad of Jude.

He will be sadly missed by his loving son, daughter-in-law, grandchild, sisters Peggy and Helen, nephew, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros. Funeral Home, Maryborough Street, Graiguecullen (R93 ET80), on Wednesday, 11th December, from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm.

Removal from there on Thursday morning at 9.45am to St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am.
Burial afterwards in Arles cemetery.

Eileen McCarthy (née Doyle)
Birr, Offaly/Abbeyleix, Laois

Eileen McCarthy, (née Doyle) 19 High Street, Birr, Co. Offaly and formerly of Abbeyleix, Co. Laois, passed away peacefully on December 10th, 2024, aged 79, in the care of The Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband John, daughters Celine and Lorraine, sons-in-law Patrick, Paul and John and her daughter-in-law Margaret.

Deeply regretted by her loving sons and daughters; Michelle, John, Wayne, Helen, Geraldine, Tracey, Caroline, Brigid and Sandra, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great -grandchildren, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives , neighbours and friends.

Eileen was a lady, a wonderful mother and great friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Reposing at her home on Wednesday evening from 4pm. – 7pm.

Removal on Thursday morning at 10.15am. to arrive at St. Brendan’s Church, Birr at 10.45am. for Funeral Mass at 11am. followed by burial in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr.

William (Billy) Keyes
Knockardgannon and formerly Monamondra, Errill, Laois

William (Billy) Keyes, Knockardgannon and formerly Monamondra, Errill, Co. Laois, December 9th. 2024, peacefully in the loving care of Management and staff at Droimnìn Nursing Home, Stradbally, Co. Laois.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick (Snr) and Mary, sisters Margaret Bergin, Annie Maher, Sr. Veronica (Kathleen) St. John of God, Mary Campion, brothers Paddy (Jnr) and Mick and his wife Breda.

Deeply regretted by his nieces and nephews Dermot, Patrick, Anne-Marie, Geraldine, Kathleen and Mary, his carer and wonderful neighbour of many years Martin Bergin, extended family, neighbours and a close circle of friends.

Reposing at O’Sullivans funeral home, Rathdowney (Eircode R32 NY24) on Wednesday evening December 11th. from 5.30 pausing for prayers at 7 o’clock. Removal on Thursday morning to Our Lady Queen of the Universe Church, Errill arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock. Interment afterwards in St. Kieran’s Cemetery, Errill.

Danny McRedmond
Cloonagh Beg, Clonaslee, Laois

Unexpectedly on the 7th of December. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Julia (Juggy). Danny will be sadly missed and always remembered by his loving wife Kay and daughters Danielle and Claire, sons in law Denis and Mairtín, his adored grandchildren Dan and Senán, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, work colleagues, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at the Heritage Centre, Clonaslee on Tuesday from 4pm until 6.30pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 12 noon in St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, followed by Burial after Mass in the local Cemetery.
