Bernadette (Ber) Smeaton (née Hennessy), 17 O’Daly Terrace, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, December 4th. 2024, peacefully at the Midland’s Regional Hospital Portlaoise, surrounded by her loving family in her 91st. year.
Predeceased by her husband Billy, daughter Norrie, her parents, sisters Annie, Kathleen, May and Una and brothers Tommy, Seàn and Joseph.
Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, sons Terry and Liam, grandchildren, great grandchildren sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at O’Sullivan’s funeral home Rathdowney (Eircode R32 NY24) on Friday evening December 6th. from 5 o’clock pausing for prayer at 7 o’clock. Removal from her residence on Saturday afternoon to The Church of the Most Holy Trinity Rathdowney arriving for Requiem Mass at 2 pm. Interment afterwards in Bealady Cemetery.

Stanislaw (Stan) Kurkowski, Main Street, Ballyroan, Portlaoise, Co. Laois and formally Poland.
Died 3rd December in the wonderful care of Tullamore General Hospital, Pallas Ward.
Pre deceased by his parents and brother. Deeply regretted by his brother Zbigniew and his family in Poland, the Scully family, Ballyroan and his many friends and neighbours in Ballyroan and Portlaoise.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Stan on Friday morning at 9am (6th December) in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyroan followed by cremation in Newland’s Cross
George Thuillier

Thuillier, (Laois and Dublin) November 25th, 2024, peacefully surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at M.R H.P., George, late of Maslough Meadow, Ballinakill and formerly of Shanliss Avenue, Santry.
Beloved husband of the late Caroline(Carrie) and much-loved father of John, Martina, Avril, Andrea and Eric, and loving grandfather to Adam, Craig, Jordan, Abbey, Cian, Khloe and Jake, great-grandfather to Ashton, Sunny and Theo. Predeceased by his brother Ronnie and sister Lyndia. Sadly missed by his loving family, brothers-in-law Paddy, William, Donal, Kenneth and Dave, sister-in-law Joan, sons-in-law Christy and Marcus, daughter-in-law Debbie, relatives and friends.
Reposing at his daughter’s home in Santry on Friday (December 6th) from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday (December 7th) in Church of the Holy Child, Whitehall at 10am followed by cremation to Glasnevin Crematorium.

Brigid (Bridie) Foyle (née Saunders)

Bridie passed away peacefully on the 4th December 2024, surrounded by her loving family, and in the loving care of doctors, nurses, and staff at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by her beloved husband Mattie. Beloved mother of Matthew, Walter, Catherine, John, Maria, Breda and Dolores. Sadly missed by her family, and her 23 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, partners, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at her home (eircode R32X952) on Thursday afternoon (5th December) from 2.0’clock, concluding with Rosary at 8.30 p.m. Removal on Friday morning (6th December) to St Canice’s Church, Clough, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by Burial in Clough Cemetery.
Agatha (Aggie) Meehan (née Lambe)

Formerly of Roscore, Blueball Tullamore County Offaly. Peacefully in the tender care of the staff of Beechpark Nursing Home Kildare Town. Predeceased by her loving husband Terry, her sisters Maureen (Sr. Pacifica), Sheila (Sr. Albert), Josephine Lambe and her brother P.J. (Gussie) Lambe. Deeply regretted by her sister-in-law Brigid, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Thursday evening (5th December) from 5:30pm with Rosary at 7pm. Removal on Friday morning (6th December) at 9:20am arriving St Michael’s Church, Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery, Portarlington.

Died 2nd of December at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his parents Bridget & Patrick and his brother Donal.
Sadly missed by his loving wife Bridie (Salmon), his daughter Catriona Small (Brisbane) and his sons Padraig & Peter, his adored granddaughter Niamh, sons-in-law Alan and Sean, sisters Ann Fox, brothers Pat, Peter and Liam, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home Mountmellick (R32 PC95) on Thursday from 5pm. Recital of the Rosary at 7pm. Funeral arriving to St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise on Friday morning for Requiem Mass at 12 o’clock . Burial after in St. Pet and Paul’s Cemetery.
