Rita Costigan (nee Mulligan), Carrick Hill Portlaoise (R32 NYE3) and formerly Ballycarroll, Killenard. November 29th 2024 . Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Jackie and dearly loved mother to Marita and Michelle. Deeply regretted by her son in law Mark, and Michelle’s partner David. Her brothers, John and Thomas-James. Sisters in law, Brother in law, Nephews, Nieces. Former colleagues at Portlaoise Regional Hospital. Also, former staff and friends at Rosetta Nursing Home. May she rest in peace. Reposing at her residence at Carrick hill on Sunday from 4pm with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Monday to arrive at SS Peter and Pauls Church for 12 noon mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Pauls Cemetery afterwards.

Br. Laurence (John) Broderick, De La Salle Brothers, Castletown, Portlaoise, Co. Laois and late of Cloonacastle, Duniry, Loughrey, Co. Galway, November 30th 2024, peacefully in the loving care of the community and staff of Miguel House.
Predeceased by his parents John Joe and Delia, his sisters Sr. Bridie (St. Joseph of the Apparitions) Annie May, brothers, Jim, Fintan (Br. Cassian), Pat Joe and Kevin. Deeply missed by his sisters-in-law, Nuala and Nancy, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, relations and friends, and especially by his confreres in religion and the staff in Miguel House.
Reposing in Miguel House on Sunday December 1st from 11.00am with Evening Prayer and Rosary at 6.30pm on Sunday evening. Funeral Mass on Monday 2nd December at 12 Noon, followed by Burial immediately in the Monastery Cemetery, Castletown.
Very Rev. Fr. Joseph (Joe) Fleming
Clonegal, Carlow/ Clonegal, Wexford/Laois
Very Rev. Fr. Joseph (Joe) Fleming PE CC, Clonegal, Co. Carlow and formerly of Ballynoe, Ardattin, Co. Carlow, Retired Parish Priest Clonegal Parish, passed away unexpectedly on November 28th 2024.
Sadly missed by his loving sister Teresa Nolan, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, sister-in-law Rosaleen Fleming, Bishop Denis Nulty, fellow priests, former parishioners, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents John and Anne, brothers Fr. Lar, Richard and Gerard and by his sisters Sr. Brigid, Sr, Máire and Ann Drea.
Funeral arriving at St. Brigid’s Church, Clonegal on Saturday for evening Mass at 6.30pm and concluding with evening prayer at 9pm. Reposing on Sunday from 1pm concluding with prayers at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11am. Burial afterwards in the churchgrounds.

Thomas (Tommy) Lawlor, Graigue, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, November 29th. 2024, peacefully in the loving care of staff at Fennor Care Facility, Urlingford. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Annastatia and brother Bobby.
Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Elizabeth, sons Joe and William brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews Thomas, Martin, Bertie and Joe, their partners, extended family and a close circle of friends.
Reposing at O’Sullivans funeral home Rathdowney (Eircode R32 NY24), on Sunday evening December 1st. 2024 from 5.30 pausing for prayers at 7 o’clock. Removal on Monday morning to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Galmoy arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock followed by interment in the adjoining Cemetery.

Jean Fitzpatrick (Nee McEvoy) passed away peacefully at home in the presence of her loving family with great courage & dignity on the 28th of November 2024.
Beloved wife and best friend of Billy, much loved mother of Carol, Kenneth, Gerard and James. Adored Gran to Barry, Oisin, Jamie, Joshua, Ben, Ruairi, Roisin, Billy and Zach and her soon to be first great granddaughter Maisie Jean, mother-in-law to Colin, Yvonne, Michelle and Paula. Dearest sister of Mary, Phyllis, Esther, Davie, Michael, Thomas, Anthony, Geraldine and Noel.
Jean will be forever loved and greatly missed by all her nearest family, extended family and friends. And especially all he former friends and customers at Jeans Cake Shop.
Reposing at her home on Sunday, 1st December, from 4.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. with prayers at 6.30 p.m. Removal on Monday, 2nd December to St. Peters Church, Market Square, Portlaoise arriving at 2.00 p.m. for a celebration of Jean’s life followed by burial in St. Peter & Pauls Cemetery.
