This Christmas, SOLAS Eco Garden Centre invites you to step into a world of festive enchantment like never before.
Our Santa Grotto experience is a heartwarming journey filled with wonder, joy, and unforgettable moments for the whole family. This year’s theme promises a magical adventure where every child becomes part of the story.
The journey begins with a warm welcome from Santa’s cheerful elves, who will guide you through our winter wonderland.
Here, children will have the chance to craft a special decoration to present to Santa Claus himself. When Santa sees their thoughtful creation, he’ll reward them with a golden ticket, unlocking the next exciting chapter of the adventure. With ticket in hand, families will make their way to the gift chimney, where a sprinkle of magic reveals a surprise gift at the base of the chimney.
Along the way, families will meet Mrs Claus in her cosy corner, where she shares festive tales and holiday cheer.
Little ones can visit the enchanting Christmas book corner or explore the sparkling light tunnel that dazzles with festive colours. Santa’s animal friends are waiting to meet everyone at the Christmas Crib, while the elves host a delightful reindeer food-making activity.
No festive adventure would be complete without a walk through our wonky winter wonderland, where twinkling trees and magical surprises lie around every corner.
To top it all off, families can pose together for a keepsake photo in our festive Christmas photobooth and enjoy two thrilling fun fair rides.
Christmas by the Numbers
This year, we’ve gone bigger and better to create a truly magical experience. Over 500 metres of Christmas lights illuminate our grotto and surrounding spaces, while 100 locally grown real trees transform SOLAS into a winter wonderland.
Santa himself will be at SOLAS for 12 days this festive season, and our popular craft market will feature over 25 stalls brimming with local, handmade gifts and treats.
Grotto visitors will also enjoy a 20% discount in our Christmas shop, making it easier than ever to bring some of the magic home. Our experience is longer and more immersive than ever, offering families a 1.5-hour adventure filled with fun and excitement.
We expect to serve over 1,000 cups of mulled wine this season, while our newly expanded indoor dining area can now seat 59 people in festive comfort. Don’t forget our unbeatable value on real Christmas trees – a 7ft tree is just €55, making it the perfect centrepiece for your holiday celebrations.
