Jim Lalor, The Heath, Portlaoise, 19th November 2024. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband to Mary. Loving father to Pat, Jimmy, Denis, Louise and Mark. Cherished grandfather to Emma, Tírna, Fionn, Ben, Anna, Daragh, and Shauna, great-granddaughter Aida. Deeply regretted by his loving family, sister Mary O`Rourke, daughters in law, Gretta, Aileen, Trish, Freda, Louise’s partner Frank, brother in law Johnny, sister in law Patsy, nephews, nieces, relatives and neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Thursday from 5.30 pm until 8pm . Removal to the Church of the Assumption, The Heath on Friday to arrive for 12 noon requiem mass. Cremation will follow on Saturday morning at 12 noon in Newlands Crematorium.
Oleksandr Dubrovin
Ballymaddock, Abbeyleix, Laois/Dublin
Oleksandr formerly from Odessa, Ukraine sadly passed away on 17th November 2024 surrounded by his loving family while in the care of the medical staff of Tallaght University Hospital, Dublin.
Predeceased by his son Victor. Oleksandr is deeply regretted by his loving wife Nina, his son Vasyl and his daughter Natalia, his brother Vasyl, his grandchildren Oleksandr, Maksym, Ivan and Victoria, daughter in law Yuliia, son in law Yurii, his extended family and large circle of friends both here in Ireland and the Ukraine.
Reposing on Friday 22nd November 2024 in Guilfoyle’s Funeral Home, Castletown, Co Laois (R32 TN84). An Eastern Orthodox Service will take place at 10am with removal immediately afterwards to Newlands Cross Crematorium.
The Dubrovin family would like to acknowledge their appreciation for the outstanding care and support received by Oleksandr from all the medical staff during his admissions to the different hospitals here in Ireland while his was battling his illness. They are extremely grateful for the respect and dignity shown not only to Oleksandr but also to them in this very difficult time in their lives.
They would also like to sincerely thank the Irish people and the Irish Government for allowing them to come here to Ireland. They are so grateful for protecting them and supporting them with accommodation, medical services and food but also for the kindness they have been shown by everyone since they arrived here Ireland.

Kennelly (née Moran), Ann (Watergate, Tallaght and late of Portarlington, Co. Laois), November 16th, 2024 unexpectedly but peacefully at home. Beloved wife of Seamus and loving mam to Michelle, Sandra and Susan. Sadly missed by her heartbroken family, grandchildren Seán, Darragh, Eoin, Shea, Maria, Clodagh and Ruairi, brothers and sisters Tina, Mary, John, Phil, Joe, Pat, Shay, Nuala, Tom, Pauline and Linda, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Annie McEvoy (nee Culleton), Dr Murphy Place, Portaoise . 19th November 2024 .
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at her daughter Mary Bourkes residence.
Beloved wife of the late Pete, loving mother of Peter, Mary, Roger, Pat, Ann and Con.
Cherished grandmother to Jordan, Tara, Leah, Rachel, Vivi, Thomas, Con, Callum, Fiachra, Darren and Ciaran. Great grandmother to Aoibheann, Conóg, Leo, Isabella, Oran, and Holly and Lennon, mother- in -law to Angela, Tom, Catherine, Kieran, and Mary, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Funeral arriving at SS Peter and Pauls Church for 12 noon requiem Mass on Thursday . Interment will follow in SS Peter and Pauls Cemetery, Portlaoise.
Vera Sheppard (née Moynan)
Kellysgrove, Ballinasloe, Galway/Borris-in-Ossory, Laois
Formerly of Borris in Ossory, Co. Laois. Vera passed away peacefully in the loving care of the staff of University Hospital Galway. She is predeceased by her parents Har and Essie Moynan, her sister Louise Moynan and brother in law Liam Drennan. Vera will be sadly missed by her loving husband Richard, daughter Gwen (Austin), sons Richie, Brian and Tony, her eleven loving grandchildren, son in law Gareth, daughters in law, sister Harriet (Drennan), brother Abe, brothers in law, sisters in laws, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours and friends.
Reposing in St. Catherine’s Community Hall, Aughrim (H53 D9F4) on Wednesday, 20th November, from 5.30 pm with removal at 7.30 pm to St. John’s Church, Ballinasloe. Vera Fogarty (née Coss)

Vera passed away peacefully on the 18th November 2024 surrounded by her loving family and in the excellent care of the medical staff of the Community Hospital, Abbeyleix, Co. Laois. Predeceased by her loving husband Jimmy and her brother Anthony. Much loved mother of Elizabeth, Marie, Patricia, Bridget, Jim and Ray, cherished sister of Francis, Sarah and Anne. Vera will be forever loved and sadly missed by all her family her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, sisters in law, brothers in law, daughters in law, her extended family, her dear neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at her residence, Derreen, Durrow, Co Laois R32 X6X4 on Wednesday, 20th November 2024, at 2pm concluding with recital of Rosary at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday morning, 21st November 2024, at 11am in the Church of the Holy Trinity, Durrow, Co. Laois (R32 CK11) with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery,
Michael Campion
Shankill, Dublin/Portlaoise, Laois
CAMPION, Michael – Shankill, Dublin and formerly of Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Peacefully in St. Vincent’s Hospital on 16th November, 2024.
Michael will be sadly missed by his loving family, his brother Patsy and sister Nuala. Predeceased by his sisters Mary, Joan, Trish and brothers Ned and Hugh. He will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family and many friends.
Michael will repose at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, Goatstown (D14 X348) on Wednesday 20th of November from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday the 21st of November at St. Annes Church, Shankill at 11am followed by burial in Portlaoise Cemetery at approximately 1.30pm.

June Thompson
Shrahane, Mountrath, Laois
June Thompson, Shrahane, Camross, Portlaoise, Co Laois, passed away on the 14th November 2024, peacefully under the loving care of the staff of Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by her parents Richard (Dick) Thompson and Amy Thompson (née Walsh). June was a kind and gentle person with a strong faith, who worked as a nurse for many years.
