The start of a sparkling Christmas was marked with the official launch Serene Beauty and Wellness, Market Square, Mountrath, on Friday last, November 15.
With the launch of the salon’s Advanced Nutrition Programme for skin, also came the announcement of a slew of special offers.
Proprietor Sinéad Cooper was the spa manager in Ballyfin Demesne, the five star country house hotel, and also worked in the Heritage Hotel, Killenard, and on cruise ships.
She has had lots of well known clients over the years but is the soul of discretion, saying that she would never name drop.
On Friday night, she introduced the gathering to the award-winning science led brand, Advanced Nutrition that produces innovative planet friendly skin supplements with the belief that your future skin starts from within.
“The skin is a two-sided organ and if we concentrate on topical products, we are only achieving 50 per cent skincare.
“The people behind Advanced Nutrition believe in a 360 degree approach to skincare.
“At Serene Beauty and Wellness, I believe in a bespoke approach to skincare as everyone is different and has different issues,” said Sinéad.
For those in search of the perfect skincare brand, she showcased Environ which works with vitamin A as its main ingredient.
Sinéad provides a consultation to establish the correct products for your skin. She also does Genosys micro needling.
“A minimally invasive procedure that involves puncturing the skin with small sterile needles to trigger the body’s natural healing process, it can help stimulate the collagen production in the skin,” she said.
Waxing at Serene Beauty and Wellness is done with Lycon wax which is formulated with the finest natural and synthetic resins and aromatherapy.
Other services include: facials; massage; reflexology; manicures; pedicures; brow shape and tint with lash lift and Shellac nails.
Sinéad loves her work and revelled in creating a tranquil environment and a safe space for her loyal clients.
“I wanted to bring the five star ethos from the hotels I worked in to my own salon where all treatments are bespoke,” she said.
After toasting the start of a serene Christmas, Sinéad encouraged the attendance to take time out for themselves and to give the gift of relaxation in the form of vouchers, this festive season.
A performance by the Cosy Cafe Choir members added to the ambience at the launch.
As well as running the salon, Sinéad was also at the helm in the cafe – since closed – where the choir was formed from a breakfast club.
Comprising 30 members of the local community, it will be giving a number of performances locally over Christmas.
“Singing is great therapy and has many brilliant benefits,” said Sinéad.
With Christmas appointments fast filling up, it’s time to book your slot at Serene Beauty and Wellness.
