Two Laois GAA clubs have benefited from another successful year for the Laois Hurlers Golf Society.
Society Captain, John Delaney, recently presented Rathdowney juvenile chairman Cormac Bracken with a cheque for €500.
While Society Chairman Richie Maloney did likewise with Camross juvenile chairman Stan Lalor.
The first outing took place in Rathdowney and was won by Zane Keenan.
Completing the leaderboard were Paul Kelly in second, Damien Keenan in third, and Brochan O’Reilly in fourth.
The second outing took place in Mountrath in July and was very well attended.
The society concluded activities last week as the final outing took place in Rathdowney.
Seamie Cahill was this year’s winner of the Laois Hurlers Golfing Society Captain’s Prize after a fantastic event in Rathdowney.
As the curtain closes on another season, the Society would like to say a huge thanks to all the players, young and old, who participated.
The Laois Hurlers Golfing Society will return to action in the Spring.
