John Joe Ging. Green Mill Lane Portlaoise. Died 11th November 2024. Peacefully at home. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Katie, siblings Ann, Kathleen, Mary and Willie (Son). Deeply regretted by his loving brothers, Tommy, Paddy and Christy, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Lios an Óir, Charleville, formerly of Buttercup, Portlaoise, Co. Laois and originally from Durban, South Africa.
Nonjabulo passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family at home on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024.
Predeceased by her loving parents Jubilee Zu and Thembeni Victoria. Loving mother of Odwa Awethu and Lwandile, cherished grandmother of Uminathi Zanokuhle.
Dear sister of Khethiwe Confidence, Joy, Thabile Purity, Doh Bathobile and Charity Siphindile.
Deeply regretted by her loving family, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing in Hawe – O’Keeffe’s Funeral Home (P56 YY15), Bakers Road, Charleville, on Friday evening from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, followed by Prayers and Reception into Holy Cross Church, Charleville.

On Saturday morning there will be ‘South African worship music from 11am’, followed by Requiem Mass at midday, after which Nonjabulo will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery, Charleville.

Suddenly but peacefully at home. Dearly loved wife of the late James (Jim). Deeply missed by her children James, Rachel, Simon and David, grandchildren Edward, Mia, Jennifer, Faye, Daniel and Freddie, daughters-in-law Amanda and Sarah, son-in-law Peter O’ Callaghan, extended family and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at her home from 5pm. with prayers at 7pm. on Thursday evening. Leaving her residence at 11.45 am. on Friday for Requiem Mass at 12 noon in the Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. The Mass can be viewed on https://Abbeyleixparish.ie/webcam.

Michael Francis (Frank) Bergin

Michael Francis (Frank) Bergin, Adelaide Square, Dublin, and formerly of Portlaoise and Ballacolla, Co. Laois, passed away suddenly on Monday November 11, 2024. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Stella, and his sister Anita. Deeply regretted by his grateful son Emmet and his partner Beatrix, his much-loved grandsons Benny and Zach, his sisters Angela and Maeve, his cousins, Emmet’s mother Fidelma and in-laws, and a wide circle of friends with whom he shared much laughter and joy.
Reposing at his cousins’ residence, Coolepark, Ballacolla, Co Laois R32 Y3V1 on Wednesday November 13, from 7.00 pm with Rosary at 9.00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, November 14, at 12.00 noon in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballacolla R32 RK8R. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please.
