Deep sadness in Emo following the passing of Ned Ryan

    There is deep sadness in Emo today following the passing of Ned Ryan.

    Aged in his early 20s, Ned passed away today following a long battle with illness.

    A talented sports person, Ned represented St Paul’s at juvenile level and Laois in football at all grades up to minor.

    A past pupil of Mountrath Community School, Ned went on to study primary teaching in Mary Immaculate College.

    From Morette in Emo, Ned passed away after an illness borne with dignity and love.

    Dearly loved son to Raymond and Evelyn, Ned is cherished brother to Ray and Jack.

    Beloved partner to Anne and brother-in-law to Ellen, Ned is deeply regretted by his grandparents Lill Ryan and Lucy Greene and all the extended Ryan and Greene families.

    He is lovingly remembered by all his friends, teaching colleagues and colleagues in the HSE.

    Ned will be reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Friday from 4pm with rosary at 8pm.

    His removal will take place from his home on Saturday morning to arrive at St Paul’s Church, Emo for 12 noon mass.

    Interment will follow in the New Cemetery, Emo. House strictly family only Saturday morning.

    Family flowers only. All donations to Laois Community Specialist Palliative Care Team.
