John Gee Dulague Castleisland Co. Kerry and formerly of Dunmore, Durrow, Co. Laois.

Peacefully on October 15th 2024 after a short illness bravely borne, in the presence of his loving family, under the excellent care of the Palliative Care Team at University Hospital Kerry.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Theresa, his adored children Evelyn, John R.I.P., Thelma, Declan, Enda, and step-children Lisa and Trevor, daughters-in-law Margaret and Teresa, very close family members Yvonne and Tim, his dearly cherished grandchildren Leighaina, Ciava, Dylan, Ben, Adam, Ella, Sarah, Emily, Tara, Neasa, Saoirse, Emma and step-grandchildren Rachel, Lauren, Aibhé, Jude, Jamie and Tommy, his brother Brian, sister Evelyn, sister-in-law Mary, brother-in-law Eamon, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends .

Reposing at Tangney’s Funeral Home, Church Street, Castleisland, on Thursday evening from 5pm to 7pm . Removal from his residence on Friday morning at 10.30am arriving to Castleisland Parish Church for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Clogher Cemetery Ballymacelligott. The Mass will be live streamed on www.churchservices.tv/castleisland

No flowers please. Donations in lieu to Palliative Care c/o Tangney’s Funeral Home. House strictly private please.

Theresa and family would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Mulgrew and all the nurses and staff of the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee and Dr. Patricia Sheehan and all the Palliative Care Team at University Hospital Kerry and to all those who showed exceptional care and kindness to John and his family during his very short illness.

Breda Quinlan (née Moloney)
Ballaghmore, Borris-in-Ossory, Laois, R32KR44/Roscrea, Tipperary

And formerly of Corville, Roscrea. Peacefully at Tullamore Regional Hospital.

Pre-deceased by her parents Johnny and Bridie, her brother Liam and father-in-law Paddy.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Michael, daughter Paula, son David, sister Mary Gleeson (Loughmore), mother-in-law Matilda, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, good neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Seàn Shiel
Coolnacritta, Galmoy, Kilkenny/Cullohill, Laois

Seàn Shiel, Coolnacritta, Galmoy, Co. Kilkenny, October 15th, 2024, suddenly but peacefully, in the presence of his family at St. James’s Hospital Dublin.
Predeceased by his parents Gerard and Ellen, brother Larry and sister Breda (McEvoy).

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Noreen (Jones), daughters Eileen and Norma, son Gerard, sons-in-law Chris and David, daughter-in-law Bronagh, grandchildren Elena, Seana, Cathal and Padraig, brother Gerry, sisters Mary, Josie, Rose, Eileen and Phyllis, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, good neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Doyle’s Funeral Home Urlingford (Eircode E41 XO38) on Thursday evening October 17th. from 5 o’clock until 7.30. Removal from his residence on Friday morning to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Galmoy arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Thomas (Tom) Dunphy
Rossadown, Mountrath, Co Laois

Tom passed away peacefully on the 15th October 2024, surrounded by his loving family at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise.

Beloved husband of Joan, and dear father to Ursula, Sarah and Thomas. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, grandchildren Lana, Colm, Mia, Maeve, Millie and Layla, son-in-law Colm, daughter-in-law Elizabeth, sister Sadie (Murphy) England, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the home of Sarah Conroy, Glennaglass (eircode R32P2F3), on Wednesday evening (16th October) and Thursday evening (17th October) from 5.0’clock each evening, concluding with Rosary at 8.0’clock on both evenings. Removal on Friday morning to St. Fergal’s Church, Camross (via Lacca), for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by Burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Josie Healy (née Ryan)
Lowhill, Ballinakill, Laois, R32WY98/Muckalee, Kilkenny

Josie died at The Regional Hospital Portlaoise.

Predeceased by her parents James and Mary, husband Tim, baby Jim, brothers Jim, Ned, Fr Martin, Tom, Fr Lar and John.

Deeply regretted by her loving children Eamon, Mary, Joan and Caitriona,,sons- in- law Mike, John and Michael, sisters- in- law Anna Ryan and Josie Healy Firoda,grandchildren,greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny (R95AK38) from 3.30 on Wednesday with removal at 7.30 to The Church of the Assumption, Ballyouskill arriving at 8oc. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 12oc which can be viewed on the link http://www.youtube.com/@AllisonRitchieChurchSinger

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Michael Brennan
Ballyadams, Laois/Athy, Kildare

Peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital, Athy. Michael is deeply mourned by his loving wife Lucy, son Micheál, daughter-in-law Cecilia, adored granddaughter Saibh, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Rigney’s Funeral Home, Athy on Wednesday evening (October 16th) from 6pm until 8pm, with recital of the Rosary at 7.30pm. Removal on Thursday morning (October 17th) to arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, Ballyadams for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

John Kenna
Temperance Street, Abbeyleix, Laois

Formerly of Blandsford and Ralish. Former employee of Laois County Council. Peacefully in the care of the staff of the Regional Hospital Portlaoise Hospital and Droimnin Nursing Home Stradbally.

Deeply regretted by his cousins Martin, Gerard, Jimmy, David, Paul and Margaret, relatives and friends.

Reposing in the Chapel of Rest adjoining the church of the Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix from 5 pm. with prayers at 7pm on Tuesday Removal on Wednesday to the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix for 11am. Requiem Mass. Internment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
