Stradbally Town Health Check shows need for Community Centre and improved infrastructure

Stradbally Tidy Towns, in collaboration with Southeast Technological University (SETU) is proud to announce the launch of the Stradbally Town Centre Health Check publication.

This comprehensive study offers an in-depth analysis focusing on key aspects such as consumer behaviour, business attitudes, land use, and the need for community development.

The findings will guide future planning to enhance residents’ quality of life and promote sustainable development in the area.

Key issues identified in the report include the absence of a multipurpose Community Centre and the need for improved infrastructure.

The study emphasizes the importance of addressing the town’s transport links, pedestrian safety, and sustainable development.

It also expresses a need for new enterprises such as restaurants and community spaces, which could stimulate the local economy and enhance Stradbally’s appeal to both residents and visitors.

Spokesperson for Stradbally Town Health Check launch Nuala Monaghan emphasised that this publication is a critical tool for shaping the future of Stradbally.

Ms Monaghan says the Health Check also provides “a roadmap for sustainable growth that can be used to apply for future funding while preserving the town’s unique heritage and culture.”

This publication of the Health Check represents a significant step in ensuring that Stradbally remains a vibrant and inclusive community for current and future generations.

The findings will be presented to local stakeholders including Stradbally’s local Councilors and will form the basis for future town planning and revitalization projects.

The community will be encouraged to engage with the findings and contribute to the next steps in the town’s development journey.
