Peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. Predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted by his loving nieces, nephews, sister-in-law, relatives, neighbours, his loyal close friends and his four legged friend Louie.
Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Friday evening from 7pm with Rosary at 8pm. Reposing on Saturday from 3:30pm with Removal at 4:40pm (travelling via Foxcroft Street) arriving St Michael’s Church, Portarlington, at 5:30pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday at 12:15pm. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery Portarlington.

Edith Doyle (née Deffew)
St Brigid’s Place, Portlaoise, Laois
Edith Doyle (nee Deffew) St Brigids Place Portlaoise. September 26th 2024 . Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Patrick and son Paul.
Dearly loved mother to Patrick, Gerard, Tracey (O’ Sullivan), Eugene, and Alison (Maher). Cherished grandmother to her 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Deeply regretted by her loving family. Sister Ellen Higgins, and brother Richard Deffew, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6.30 pm until 8 pm. On Monday removal from her home to arrive at SS Peter and Pauls Church for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Pauls cemetery Portlaoise.
House strictly private Monday morning.

The death has occurred of Henry Hewitt, Droimnín Nursing Home, Stradbally, Laois and formerly of Portlaoise, Co. Laois peacefully in the care of the C.C.U Nursing Care, Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise on the 26th September 2024.
Reposing at The Oratory, Droimnín Nursing Home, Stradbally, Co. Laois on Friday 27th September from 2pm with Funeral Service at 7pm. Interment in Oakvale Churchyard on Saturday 28th September at 12:30pm.
Maie McCabe
Templeogue, Dublin/Abbeyleix, Laois
Maie McCabe (née Rice), Templeogue, Dublin 6W and formerly of Abbeyleix, Inishowen Guesthouse and Gallagher Ireland, September 24th, 2024, suddenly but very peacefully at home. Predeceased by her parents Margaret and Frank.
Beloved wife of Terry (Eugene) and much-loved sister of Bernadine, Peter, Francis, Desmond and the late Michael and Pauline. Maie will be very sadly missed and forever remembered by her husband, sisters, brothers, brothers-in-law Brian and Niall, sister-in-law Yvonne, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at her residence on Friday (27th September) between 6pm and 8pm. Removal on Saturday to St. Jude the Apostle Church, Templeogue, D6W to arrive for 11am Requiem Mass followed by burial thereafter in Kilternan Cemetery Park.
