As part of Local Development Week, Laois Partnership Company is holding an open day in Portlaoise to promote the many services available across Laois.
It is the culmination of Local Development Week, the weeklong celebration that has been highlighting the role Local Development Companies (LDCs) play in building vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable communities throughout Ireland.
On Friday, Laois Partnership Company (LPC) will hold an open morning at their headquarters at the old St Francis School on the New Road in Portlaoise at 11am.
On the day, you will have the chance to speak to the staff to get a better idea of how LPC can help you or your community to grow.
Supports and funding are available through the various programmes to enable individuals, groups, and businesses to reach their full potential, all with the goal of making Laois a better place to live.
Projects supported by LPC in recent times include:
- Ballinakill playground,
- BloomHQ in Mountrath,
- Ballykilcavan Brewery,
- Glamping Under The Stars.
LPC CEO, Caroline Lydon extends a warm welcome to anyone interested in learning more about what your local development company can do for you.
“Laois Partnership Company has been operated in Laois for over twenty years and has supported so many valuable projects and communities across the county, yet people are still unclear about what it is we do,” Ms Lydon.
“We want to change that so that there is greater awareness of this sector and that those who could benefit from some of our programmes know how to reach us.
“As CEO of Laois Partnership Company, I am delighted to participate in this local development week promotion.”
Employing over 2,000 people across Ireland, the Local Development Sector supports community development, social inclusion, enterprise, and environmental sustainability.
