Michael (Mike) Byrne, Grange, Maganey, Co. Laois, September 22nd 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, following a brief illness. Predeceased by his parents William and Mary-Kate, brother Joe, sister Lilly and nephew Laurence. Sadly missed by his loving brother Liam, sisters-in-law Theresa and Nellie, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral arrangements will be confirmed on Tuesday evening.

Patricia Byrne
Killmartin, Borris-in-Ossory, Laois

Peacefully in the care of the Matron and staff of Portlaoise Hospital.

Pre-deceased by her parents Francis and Elizabeth, sister Mary and brother Dinny.

Deeply regretted by her brothers Paddy, Peter, Francis and Louis, sisters Geraldine and Agnes, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives, good neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Reposing in Tierney’s Funeral Home, Roscrea (E53 NY70) on Tuesday evening from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at at 10.30am arriving in St. Patrick’s Church, Knock (E53 XF63) for Funeral Mass and burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Thomas (Tom) Breen
1247 St Evins Park, Monasterevin, Kildare, W34 X210 / Laois

Pre deceased by his parents Patrick and Maura, brothers Tony and John. Beloved husband of Marie and much loved father of Kenneth and Sharon. Deeply regretted by his loving family, son in law Niall, daughter in law Lorraine, grandchildren Grace, Rosie and Eoin, brother Noel, sisters Chrissie (Carroll) & Marion, brother in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home on Tuesday with rosary recital at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday at 10.15am to arrive at St Peter & Paul’s Church for 11am Requiem mass, interment afterwards in St Evin’s Cemetery, Monasterevin.

Helen Moloney
Irishtown, Mountmellick, Laois / Tullamore, Offaly

Helen Moloney, Irishtown, and formerly of Moloney’s Gaelic Bar, Mountmellick, Co. Laois, on the 22nd September, 2024 peacefully in the tender and loving care of her family and all staff at St. Vincent’s Community Nursing Unit, Mountmellick.

Staff member of HSE, Tullamore.

Sadly missed by her partner Michael, children Maedhbh, Marion, Carmel and Michael, daughter-in-law Amy and sons-in-law Jonathan and Mark, sister Maura (Moyles), brothers John and Michael, grandchildren James, Joshua, Emma, Maisie, Nancy, Patrick, Oscar, Lily and Katie, uncle Eamonn Lalor, aunts, Rita & Genieve, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours & a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Moloneys Funeral Home, Sarsfield St, Mountmellick, Co. Laois, R32 PC95, on Tuesday 24th September from 5pm. Recital of the Rosary at 7pm. Removal from her home on Wednesday at 10.20am via Parnell Street arriving St Joseph’s Church, Mountmellick for 11am Requiem Mass .Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Mountmellick.

In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to The Hospice Unit St. Vincent’s Community Nursing Unit, Mountmellick.

Formerly of Foxcroft Street Portarlington. Deeply regretted by her loving husband James, son Niall, daughter Aideen, daughter-in-law Angela, son-in-law Liam, her beloved grandchildren Kate and Colm, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal from her residence on Tuesday morning at 9:15am (travelling via Foxcroft Street) arriving St Michael’s Church Portarlington (eircode R32 HY38) for Requiem Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery Portarlington.

Kathleen Grant (née Delaney), Colt, Ballyroan, Co. Laois. Who passed away on 20th September 2024, unexpectedly surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her beloved husband P.J., her beloved son Bosco, grandchildren Sean and Shannon.

Deeply regretted by her loving family P.J., Martin, Sheila, Nicola, Cathal, Cathariona, Carl, Michael and Annette, and their partners, her adoring grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law and long life friend Mamie, relatives, neighbours, and friends.

Kathleen will repose at her son Martin’s residence (eircode R32P4A8) Colt, Ballyroan, on Sunday (September 22nd) from 5.0’clock concluding with Rosary at 8.0’clock, also on Monday afternoon (September 23rd) from 2.0’clock concluding with Rosary at 8.0’clock. Removal on Tuesday morning to St. Fintan’s Church Raheen, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by Burial in the adjoining Cemetery.

Darren (Hagi) Breen. Hillview Drive Portlaoise and late of St Brigids Place. September 21st 2024 . Peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his father George. Grandparents Billy and Mary Breen, Pat and Maueen O`Connor. Also predeceased by his father in law Mickey Doyle. Dearly loved husband to Olivia and cherished father to Joshua, James, Jason, Rebecca, Matthew, Mickey and Dan. And Grandson Joey. Deeply regretted by his family. Mother Mary. Lousia Gowing, (Harvey) Boleylittle, Fontstown, Athy and late of Cromogue, Abbeyleix, Co. Laois passed away peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff at Cloverlodge Nursing Home, Athy. Predeceased by her husband Frank. Sadly, missed by her loving daughter Muriel, sister–in–law Lily, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at the Thompson’s Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, Mt. Hawkins, Athy (R14 NX80) on Monday 23rd September from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Tuesday afternoon, 24th September, by Thompson’s Funeral Directors to arrive at St. John’s Church, Fontstown, Athy for Funeral Service at 2.30pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.
