The little town of Stradbally has been plunged into sadness today with the news of the death of Robbie Moore.
Only aged in his early 40s, Robbie passed away having battled with sickness over the past couple of years.
A hugely popular member of the community, Robbie was immersed in local life, a large part of Stradbally Town soccer club and a successful underage player with Stradbally GAA where he won underage championship medals with a fine group of players.
When news of Robbie’s illness broke a few years ago, his friends and fellow members of the Laois branch of the Republic of Ireland Supporters Club rallied and held a benefit night in his aid.
Robbie passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on September 12, at his home.
Dearly loved son of Mary and John, Robbie will be forever loved and missed by his parents, his adored daughter Harper, sisters Catherine and Susan, brothers-in-law Donal and Brendan, nieces, nephews, extended family and his wonderful friends from near and far.
Reposing at the family home in Woodview from 2pm on Friday, September 13 and Saturday September 14 with Rosary both evenings at 8pm.
Funeral Mass will take place for Robbie in the Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally at 2pm on Sunday and afterwards Robbie will be laid to rest in Oakvale Cemetery.

May he Rest in Peace.
