MATCH OFF: Arles-Kilcruise safe in Intermediate following Ballyroan-Abbey walkover

The Laois Shopping Centre IFC ‘B’ semi final between Arles-Kilcruise and Ballyroan-Abbey is off.

The game, scheduled for Crettyard this evening, has been called off after Ballyroan-Abbey gave Arles-Kilcruise a walkover.

This means that Ballyroan-Abbey will now contest the relegation final against the loser of Timahoe and Portlaoise.

For Arles-Kilcruise, their season continues as they will play the winners of the game between Portlaoise and Timahoe in the ‘B’ final.

Timahoe are the current holders of that competition after they received a walkover from Ballyroan-Abbey in the final last year.

This Ballyroan-Abbey team contains a number of Abbeyleix senior hurlers who are set to contest the Laois SHC semi final next weekend.

It is likely that those players would prioritize a SHC semi final over this game.
