IFA President Francie Gorman was on hand to officially open the Clonaslee Show this past Sunday.
2024 marked the 70th hosting of the Show and drew a wonderful crowd, with smiles all round on the day.
Bad weather, bad luck and a global pandemic have played havoc at various stages over the years, but the 2024 event was luckily unbothered by the weather.
It is a sign of the enduring quality of the agricultural show and the people involved that it has remained so strong after all these years.
1948 was the first year it was hosted; in more recent times, the Show has moved to its current location adjacent to the Clonaslee Community Centre.
Combining competitions with entertainment and exhibitions, the show has an overall prize fund of €20,000.
Some of the more popular activities on the day included music by Dee Morrissey and Rock on Paddy, the Irish dancing, a vintage display, the All-Ireland Gain Dog competition, and the tug of war.
Photographer Alf Harvey was present at the shows and captured some great images.
Below is a selection of some of the best pictures from the day.
