Adrian Costello
Borris-in-Ossory, Laois/Stillorgan, Dublin

Costello, Adrian (formerly of Borris-in-Ossory, Co. Laois, Stillorgan, Co. Dublin and Lagos, Portugal) 22nd August 2024, passed unexpectedly in Portugal after a short illness, predeceased by his parents, Edmond (Eddie) and Nuala.

Sadly missed by his sons, David and Stephen and their mother Michele, sisters Celine and Deirdre, brother Declan, daughters-in-law Krista and Katie, grandchildren Sophie, Daisy, Isla, Logan and Douglas, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

A funeral ceremony for immediate family, has taken place in Albufeira, Portugal. A Memorial Ceremony for Adrian will be held for family and friends in the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel, Newland’s Cross on Sunday, 8th September 2024, at 2pm.

Annemarie Wilson (née McEvoy)
Timahoe, Laois

Annemarie Wilson (nee McEvoy) Cambridgeshire, UK and Formerly of Timahoe, Co. Laois. Annemarie passed away on the 16th August 2024 in the UK. Sadly missed and remembered by her family & friends.

Mass for Annemarie will be held in St Michael’s Church, Timahoe on Friday, 6th September, at 6.30pm in her memory.

Frances Thompson (née Doocey)
Woodbrook, Mountrath, Laois

Frances Thompson Woodbrook, Mountrath September 2nd 2024. It is with much love and gratitude that Frances’ family lay her to rest. She died peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Mullingar Hospital, in her 73rd year, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved mother to Brian and Marie, adored Nana to Muireann, Colm, Dearbhla, Izzy and Reidin. Fondly remembered by her daughter-in-law Margaret and Marie’s partner, Brian, brother Jack, sister-in-law Dee, nieces, nephew, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her family home on Tuesday from 6pm followed by Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to St. Fintan’s Church, Mountrath for 10am requiem mass. Interment will take place afterwards in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath. House private on Wednesday morning.

Phyllis Dunne (née Maher)
Woodview, Clonoghil, Ballacolla, Laois, R32C897

Surrounded by her loving family in the care of the Sacared Hearth Nursing Home Crosspatrick Co. Kilkenny Predeceased by her loving husband Séan ,sister Mary-Jo Mc Donnell and her parents John and Margaret Maher. Deeply regretted by her loving family , sons Peter, John, Dermot, Eamonn, Bernard and Thomas, daughters Immacula and Carmel (Flannery), son-in-law Laurence, daughters-in-law Maria, Therese, Ann and Jennifer, her grandchildren Claire, Lorcan,Emma, Kieran, Brian, Olivia, Grace, Méabh, Padraig, John Paul, Maura, Tess, Emily, Kathleen and Séan, brothers -in -law Walter and Eddie, nephew Colm, grandnieces, relations,family and friends.

Reposing at her residence from 2pm. on Tuesday with prayers at 9pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to The Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix for 11am. Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in St. Brigid’s Cemetery Shanahoe.

Anne Cribbin (née Carbery)
Capdoo, Clane, Kildare/Laois

Cribbin, (née Carbery), Anne, Capdoo, Clane, Co. Kildare and late of Portarlington and Mountmellick, Co. Laois, September 1st, 2024, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the excellent care of the staff of Naas General Hospital, beloved sister of the late Rose, Ted, Noreen and Denis, lovingly remembered by her loving husband Kevin, sons Tom, Eddie, Kevin, Denis, Pauraic, John and Donald and their wife’s and partner, 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, sisters Mary, Irene, Threase, Colette, Pauline and Finula, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many good friends.

Reposing at Oliver Reilly’s Funeral Home, Woods House, Clane (W91 YPX4) tomorrow, Monday from 4pm-8pm.

Removal from her residence (family only) on Tuesday at approx. 10:30am to arrive at the Church of St. Patrick and St. Brigid, Clane for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Mainham Cemetery, Clane.

Fiona O’Callaghan. Esker Hills, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Died 29th August, 2024. Predeceased by her mother Mary, father Jim and brother Keith.

Deeply regretted by her son Corey, his partner Keri-Ann, brother James, sister-in-law Bernie, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

Fiona’s Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday 3rd September at 12 noon in SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise followed by Interment in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Seán Dooley
Father O’Connor Cresent, Mountrath, Laois

John better known as Seán Dooley, Father O’Connor Cresent, Mountrath and formerly Portlaoise Road, Mountrath, died peacefully August, 31st.

Beloved son of the late Helena and Bernard. Predeceased by his brother James.

Deeply regretted by his loving sister Agnes and her husband Jim, brothers Jerry and Joe and his wife Joan and their family, nieces, Noelle, Martina and Caroline, neighbours, relatives and his many friends.

Reposing, Moloney’s Funeral Home, Mountmellick on Monday from 6pm, recital of the Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Tuesday morning at 9.15am to St. Fintan’s Church, Mountrath, arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am, burial after in Clonenagh Cemetery.

Family flowers only, donations if desired to Laois Hospice. A donation box will be in place in the Funeral Home and in the Church.

Condron, Peter, 30th August 2024, late of Dublin 7 and Borris-in-Ossory, Co. Laois

Very sadly missed by his loving family his sisters Teresa, Bridie and Joan, nieces, nephews, extended family friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Massey Bros. 88A Cabra Road, Dublin 7, D07 ET92 on Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am in The Holy Family Church, Aughrim St. followed by cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium at 1pm.
