Gardai are investigating following an alleged assault on the Saturday night of Electric Picnic.
The incident happened at the Heineken Tent near the main stage at Electric Picnic and a man is understood to have suffered facial injuries.
This happened at 10.30pm and the suspect is described as being ‘six feet tall, clean-shaven, wearing a white T-shirt and a bright yellow bucket hat. He was also described as having a Midlands accent and appeared to be in his early 20s’.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Portlaoise Gardaí are seeking the public’s assistance to help progress an ongoing investigation into an incident that occurred at 10.30pm on 17th August 2024 at the Heineken Tent area near the main stage at Electric Picnic.
“We are specifically requesting: Mobile phone footage or pictures of the assault that took place at the mentioned time and location.
“Any footage or images of a male who was approximately 6 feet tall, clean-shaven, wearing a white T-shirt and a bright yellow bucket hat.
“He was also described as having a Midlands accent and appeared to be in his early 20s.
“Any footage of an altercation that occurred around 10.30pm at the Heineken Tent near the main stage at the event.
“If you have any relevant footage, images, or information, please come forward.
