Ditch the wellies and ponchos and break out the sunglasses and shorts – the definitive Electric Picnic weekend weather forecast is here.
While it is wet and gloomy out there right now, the good news is that this will soon clear.
According Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather, the current rain is due to clear away in the afternoon.
And the really good news is that, according to Alan, this is the last of the rain we will see for the Electric Picnic weekend.
He said: “It’s going to be a nice afternoon with the current rain clearing.
“By 5pm, the sun will come out and it be lovely. It will be cool tonight, down to six or seven degrees.
“It will be a lovely fresh Friday morning once any patches of fog clear and Friday is going to be a very good day.
“There will be some more cloud but some good sunny spells. Up to 18 or 19 degrees and just a little breezy.
“It won’t be as cool on Friday night but still down to nine or ten degrees.
“Saturday will also be a very good day. There will be a little more cloud around but only a very small chance of a passing shower.
“It won’t be as cool on Saturday night either – maybe 11 or 12 degrees.
“Sunday will see a little bit more cloud but still a good day with sunny spells.
“A slightly higher chance of a shower but if it does come, it will blow away very quickly.
“And it should hold dry until Monday lunchtime. So all in all, the weather for Electric Picnic is looking very, very good.
“So make the most of the weather and enjoy the Picnic!”.
