Kathleen Fogarty, Ridge Road, Portlaoise, Co.Laois. Died 13th August 2024. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Deeply regretted by her loving partner Tim, sons Darren, Kevin and Mark. Daughter in law Maggie, Darren’s partner Justyna, grandchildren Callum, Murron, Alex and Wynter, brothers Brendan (Sonny) and Sean, sisters Marie, Pattie, Ann, Bernie and Angie, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends especially Sam and Ellie.
Reposing at her residence on Wednesday, August 14th, from 5pm till 8pm with rosary at 7pm. Removal from her residence on Thursday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise for 12:30pm requiem mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Eamonn Dowling, Clonmore Errill Portlaoise Co.Laois. Died 13th August 2024. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his son Eddie and sister Cathy. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Marie, son’s Brendan, Anthony and Thomas, daughters Breda, Rosie and her partner Matty, Tricia and her husband Gary, grandchildren Aoibhe and Katie, brother Pat, brothers in law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.
Reposing in O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home Rathdowney on Thursday August 15th from 5pm to 7pm with rosary at 6:30pm. Funeral arriving on Friday August 16th to the Church of the Assumption Killasmeestia for 11am requiem mass. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Peacefully at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Deeply regretted by his loving brothers Walter, John, Jim and Michael, sister Betty, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces and a large circle of friends.
Reposing at the Chapel of Rest adjoining the Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix from 4pm on Wednesday with prayers at 8pm. Removal to St. Brigid’s Church, Shanahoe for 12 noon Mass on Thursday. Burial afterwards in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Shanahoe.

Joseph (Joe) Ellis, Clonmeen South, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, August 11th, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents and brothers. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife Mary, son Paul, daughter-in-law Bernadette, grandchildren Tommy-Joe, Lauren and Gavin, great-grandchild Jamie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney (Eircode R32 NY24) on Wednesday evening from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Removal on Thursday morning at 11.15am to The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork arriving for funeral service at 2 pm. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to The Palliative Care Team c/o Laois Hospice.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Susan, daughters Maria and Teresa, sons, John, Joe and Brian, son-in-law Brian, daughters-in-law Joyce, Breda and Helen, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Tuesday evening from 6pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 11:20am arriving St Paul’s Church, Emo for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to The New Cemetery, Emo.
Elizabeth (Betty) Callaghan (née Hinch)
Reary, Rosenallis, Laois
Elizabeth (Betty) Callaghan (nee Hinch), Reary, Rosenallis, Co. Laois. Passed away on the 11th of August 2024, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Larry and her brother John. Beloved mother of John, Larry, Eugene, Pat, Greg, Mark, Declan, David, Marie, Ann, Patricia and Noeleen. Betty will be sadly missed by her heartbroken children, her 28 adoring grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, sister Peg, brothers Fint and Pat, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Reposing at her home, on Tuesday from 2pm with Rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am in St. Brigid’s Church, Rosenallis, with burial afterwards in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Rosenallis. Betty’s family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support at this difficult time.
