Electric Youth is holding their grand finals at the Dunamaise Arts Centre Theatre on Friday, August 9 at 6.30 pm.
The winners will be showcased on the Hazelwood Stage at Electric Picnic 2024.
The contenders for the final were picked from selection heats that took place on June 26 and 27 in the YWIL office.
Since being established in 2018 Electric Youth initiative has offered talented young people in Laois the chance to perform at Electric Picnic.
Now in its fifth year, Electric Youth is a collaboration between Youth Work Ireland Laois, Electric Picnic, LOETB and Creative Ireland.
The event showcases the transformative power of music, arts, and youth work, highlighting its positive impact on the lives of its young participants.
Speaking ahead of the event in May, Regional Director of Youth Work Ireland Laois Clive Davis said: “The Electric Youth Music and Arts initiative has been eagerly anticipated annually by the young people of County Laois, and we’re thrilled to present the fifth edition of Electric Youth for 2024!”
Programme Co-Ordinator of Electric Youth Elaine Boyle said: “We are absolutely delighted to be working with Electric Picnic again this summer for the fifth year of this fabulous initiative, which gives our young people an amazing and unique opportunity, and one which will create lifelong memories.”
LaoisToday will also be joining the talented musicians performing at Electric Picnic.
The very popular LaoisToday QuizCast is set to feature in the Mindfield arena, in the ‘Ah Here’ Podcast tent on Friday afternoon, August 16.
