In Pictures: Laois PPN host Midlands regional meeting at Castle Durrow

Delegates from across the Midlands received a warm welcome to County Laois at the wonderful Castle Durrow, for the MRPPN meeting hosted by Laois PPN.

The MRPPN is the Midlands Regional Public Participation Network which consists of Laois, Offaly, Westmeath, Kildare, Meath, and Longford.

MRPPN is an opportunity for PPN’s to share knowledge, best practice and work together to support Community Groups across their regions.

On the night Laois PPN give a presentation on the annual Laois Community and Voluntary Awards, which are hosted by Laois PPN in collaboration with their long-term partner Laois County Council with the support of their main sponsor People First Credit Union.

Dan Bergin, Laois PPN Co-Ordinator said: “It was lovely to welcome our friends and colleagues from the MRPPN to County Laois in the beautiful setting of Castle Durrow.

“Laois PPN’s presentation on the night focused on the recognition of our amazing Community Groups and Volunteers at our annual Community & Voluntary Awards.

“Laois PPN wishes to express a special thanks to our colleagues from the PPN that take time every year to be judges for our awards.

“Laois PPN would encourage groups to put forward nominations for this years Community and Voluntary Awards.”

Laois PPN consists of over 650 Member Groups from the Community, Social Inclusion and Environmental Pillars.

All groups registered with Laois PPN are given the opportunity to attend Laois PPN events.

Any group wishing to join Laois PPN can do so by completing the application on the Laois PPN website.
