Laois County Council have given conditional approval for two noteworthy projects in recent days.
The first is in Portlaoise, where Brook Advantage Ltd have sought to alter previously granted permission for a 72-house development on the Borris Road.
The amended development is to include:
– 35 type-A four-bed, semi-detached houses,
– Nine type-A1 four-bed, semi-detached houses,
– Four type-B four-bed, detached dwelling houses,
– 18 type-C three-bed, terrace houses,
– Six type-C1 three-bed terrace houses.
– All services, including roads, drainage and public lighting.
Meanwhile in Stradbally, the Council has conditionally approved for a new Montessori in the town.
Sheila Conroy of Early Learning Montessori plans to change the use of the first floor of St Mary’s Old School to a pre-school Montessori as well as site works associated with the project.
The planning documents include a letter landowner consent for the project from Parish Priest, David Vard.
