William (Willie) Doyle. Green Road Portlaoise, Co. Laois (and formerly ESB Portlaoise). Died July 9th 2024 peacefully surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of the late Lil.
Dearly loved father to Philip, Paul, Greg, Damian and Michael and brother to Lar and Mick. Deeply regretted by his daughters in law, Laura, Catherine, Fiona, Julie and Mairead, brother in law, sisters in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6.30 until 8 pm. Rosary will be recited at 7.30 pm.
Removal on Thursday to arrive at SS Peter and Pauls Church for 12 noon mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Pauls cemetery Portlaoise. Family flowers only, donations if desired to The friends of Portlaoise Hospital.

White, Alan (late of Ballylinan, Co. Laois and formerly of Rathfarnham, Dublin, Dept of Transport, Dept. of Social Welfare, Dublin and also Revenue, Dublin) 7th July 2024, unexpectedly, beloved husband of Michelle and loving Dad of Lucas and Liam; he will be very sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, father Frank, mother Dymphna, sister Nessa and her husband Paul, brothers Fraz and Paul, father-in-law James, mother-in-law Rita, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces , nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing on Thursday evening from 5pm-7pm at the Larry Massey Funeral Home, the Eden Centre, Grange Road, Rathfarnham (Eircode: D16 VO46) Removal on Friday morning to St. John the Evangelist Church, Ballinteer arriving for 10am mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to Glasnevin Cemetery.

Siobhán Galligan (nee McDonald), Springhill, Killeshin, Carlow, Co. Laois, July 8th 2024 (peacefully) surrounded by her loving family, in the kind and gentle care of the District Hospital.
Dearly loved wife of Martin, much loved mother of Niamh, Emma, Kealan and Evan, adoring grandmother of Cian and cherished only daughter of Juliette and the late Matt.
Sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughters, mother, brothers Paddy and Brendan, son-in-law Kevin, grandson, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, relatives and many friends.
Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Wednesday from 4pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 2pm in Holy Cross Church Killeshin R93 WT29 Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Alice Campion (nee Bergin), St. Canice’s Terrace, Borris in Ossory, Co. Laois. July 8th. 2024, (peacefully) in the loving care of the Staff at Patterson’s Nursing Home, Roscrea, in her 99th year.
Predeceased by her husband Ned, daughter Irene, sisters Brigid and Margaret, brothers, Andrew and Michael.
Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by her son Eamon, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Alice will be reposing in Guilfoyle’s Funeral Home, Castletown (Eircode R32 TN84) this Wednesday evening (July 10th) from 6.30 o’c with Prayers in the funeral home at 8 o’c.
Removal from the funeral home this Thursday morning (July 11th) at 10.30 o’c to arrive at St. Canice’s Church, Borris in Ossory for Funeral Mass at 11 o’c. with burial immediately afterwards in Skirke Cemetery.
PJ (Patrick Joseph) Gorman

The death has occurred of PJ (Patrick Joseph) Gorman, Woodview, Stradbally, Co. Laois, peacefully on the 7th of July at his daughter Colette and Aidan’s residence, Ash Trees, Main Street, Stradbally, Co. Laois, surrounded by his loving family.
Sadly missed by his beloved family daughters Colette, Lorraine, Orla, sons Pat and Derek, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and his many friends.
Reposing at the Presentation Chapel, Stradbally on Monday from 6pm to 8pm with Recital of the Rosary at 7:30pm. Requiem Mass will take place in the Chuch of the Sacred Heart, Stradbally at 12 noon on Tuesday (July 9). Interment afterwards in Oakvale Cemetery.

Mary (Una) Howley, Mooreville, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, July 6th. 2024, peacefully at the Midland’s Regional Hospital, Portlaoise, in her 90th year.
Predeceased by her parents. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sister Rita, nephews, cousin Annie, extended family, neighbours, residents, management and staff at Ballard Nursing Home, Portlaoise and a close circle of friends.
Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney (Eircode R32 NY24), on Monday evening, July 8th, from 6.30pm until 8pm, followed by removal to The Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney, arriving at 8.30pm.
Requiem Mass on Tuesday morning at 11am, followed by interment in the local Cemetery, Rathdowney. Messages of condolence can be placed on the page provided below.

Patrick (Paddy) Byrne, (Late of Ratra Road, Navan Road, Dublin 7 and formerly of Durrow, Co. Laois and Phoenix Park), passed away peacefully on 5th July 2024.
Beloved husband of Kathleen and much loved father of Valerie, Garry, Tommy, Aidan and Ken. Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughter, sons, son in law, daughters in law and adored grandchildren, Graham, Glen, Keith, Edel, Daniel, Leanne, Niamh, Kerri, Abby & Zoe, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends.

Meelick, Rosenallis, Laois
Kenneth Mooney, formerly of Meelick, Rosenallis and of Fleet in Hampshire who died suddenly on the 21st of June, 2024.
Deeply regretted by his wife Samantha, his daughters Imogen and Estelle, his parents Brigid and Seamus Mooney, his sister Colleen and his brothers Sean and Brian, his brother-in-law David and his sister-in-law Nicola, his nieces and nephews and a wide circle of family and friends.
Kenneth will be interned on Thursday, the 11th of July, at 11am at “The Church of our Lady” in Fleet, Hampshire with burial afterwards at St Mary’s Church in Hartley Wintney in the Hart District of Hampshire.
